I’m late; I’m late for a very important date with you all. Thank you for being such a forgiving group.
Our weekend was full of blessings and we hope yours was as well. I am still digesting Beth’s (Moore) message on Saturday. The Torah of Kindness. Proverbs 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue is the law of kindness. Since we are going to open our mouths for sure, then may it be that we speak in and with wisdom and be kind about it.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
She gave us eight points. Eight tastes of kindness from Scripture. Here are the eight points.
1. Kindness is not weakness.
2. Kindness is not an action; it’s a disposition.
3. Kindness wears down when we do.
4. Kindness looks pain in the face.
5. Kindness is a Savior.
6. Kindness has good memory.
7. Kindness craves an outlet.
8. Kindness leaves a legacy.
Number 5. Kindness is a Savior. And there is only ONE Savior and His name is JESUS. You and I are not ‘saviors’ to anyone and if we in the name of ‘kindness’ are trying to be anyone’s savior, Beth said STOP IT TODAY! Kindness does not call us to be saviors. Kindness calls us to point others to the Savior who is the KINDNESS of God made flesh to dwell among us, die for us, rise from the dead and save us.
Ephesians 2:7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Beth also made us very aware that kindness and niceness are worlds apart. I missed taking it down in my notes but we learned that nice in its early meaning was a word that meant ignorant, not knowing; and who wants to be that?! Beth was so Beth when she told us she did not want to be nice. She wanted to be KIND. You see KIND can give a hard word in love and in the anointing of the Holy Spirit; nice will lie. (nice will lie …. my word not Beth’s. Let me be clear about that.)
Nice is fine but Kindness is divine!
Okay. I got to wrap this up here! We must today petition and set ourselves to hear God and allow Him to train us to be KIND not NICE. He is the SAVIOR, not us. No more saying the NICE thing to SAVE someone’s feelings. Tell them the truth in and with the KINDNESS of the Savior. And if we are not there yet with that person as our Mamas have told us, ‘If you can’t say something KIND don’t say anything at all.’ :) That would be the KIND thing to do.
ABBA, I am late late late with this. I ask You in Your Grace and Mercy and in the Name of our Blessed and Holy Savior JESUS to minister this message to our IDOKs. And thank You, thank You so much for Beth and that You gave it to her to deliver to us. I pray for a heart to practice it now and all the days I am here. You know the people on our hearts, our IDOK Troops, our list of names at Praying For These, the November elections, revival in Christian Churches, the salvation of America; all these things we bring as Your sons and daughters purchased by the BLOOD OF JESUS; praying only for You to be glorified and Your will to be done on earth even as it is in Heaven. Amen and amen.
Holy hugs, kt
