Our Thursday time together will be a quick hello. As I sit for a few minutes here at the screen it is nearly 10:30 and I am a good tired. Baby Girl and I did some painting today. I have some touch up to do but I was able to put it back together again and, now, my bed is calling me and reminding me that if I do not hurry I will not be in it long. A certain Mamaw has a field trip in the morning — early morning. 🙂
So with all that said let me share some scripture with you and scoot.
2 Corinthians 4: (New International Version, ©2010) 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
And I am so grateful for the way Beth (Moore) of Wednesday’s with Beth explained verse 12 today. Let me paraphrase (and if you are willing to invest the time click HERE and watch and listen for yourself all she had to say.).
As we allow the HOLY SPIRIT to come and destroy those destructive things in us, it brings someone near to us to life. As others see us die to self, they are encouraged to live in Christ.
I so like this!
Y’all have a JESUS day — I plan to! 🙂
ABBA, again I thank You for the insight and knowledge You have given Beth; thank You that she so faithfully shares with us. I pray now for each of our IDOKs, for the beauty of Your Holiness to be upon them. I pray for Your peace and restoring grace to be upon every soul who comes to read and pray at this station. And, JESUS, I specifically ask Your healing touch be upon Jenny, Iris, Perry, and Rosemary; as well as our Praying for These charges and I pray for safety and soundness for our IDOK Troops. I continue to be mindful of the weekend conference and petition You again for Your Word to be proclaimed and for women to be set free in JESUS Name. Amen and amen.
Until Then + + +
