Peace is the fruit of authority. God’s authority.
Fruit – like a product of something. Like in Galatians the Fruit of the Spirit. (see Galatians 5:22-23)
Peace is the fruit of authority. God’s authority.
So when my soul, my very being is at peace that must mean I am acknowledging and obeying the authority of GOD over me. Like, I am not kicking against His ways and will. Right?
So like when my soul is not at peace? When I am all out of sorts, agitated, ticked off and about to hurt somebody with my words? Am I in that moment resisting the authority of GOD over me and thus peace has died on the branch?
Happens, doesn’t it? And then there is this:
1 John 1:9 (KJV) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. source
