Writers fear blank screens. They say such cruel things to the one sitting before them.
I’ve been known to type gibberish on mine to drown the noise. . . like now.
I took a nap today. It felt good at the time but now . . . Well, it’s nearly 11:00 pm and here I sit!
With a blank screen.
So, shall we pray?
Father GOD, when we draw a blank, help us draw on YOUR Strength, YOUR love and guidance that You are so willing to give us. Thank You that You are never blank. You always know what we need and You are always ready to give as we come and ask. Thank You. So for any dear soul that reads my blank screen or is experiencing one of their own, thank You for encouraging us and thank You for giving us a new and/or renewed vision. Thank You for the courage and the strength to press on through blank screens, or emptiness of every kind that may be looming. Thank You that YOU never leave us or forsake for JESUS’s sake.

I am writing from recall from early morning – 3:00 ish. The Little One had stirred hungry. So, I fetched him from his crib, and while he gulped down eight ounces of formula snug between us, love and blessings caressed my thoughts.
Thoughts of the difference from now and then. Thoughts of how I didn’t know. Thoughts I wasn’t then but now am grateful. Thank You, LORD GOD. Not that I got to but I get to.
I get to be free. I get to be kind. I get to be patient. I get to be grateful. I get to be happy. I get to overcome me! I get to love you!
Nothing about this Jesus Life is I GOT TO.
It’s all I GET TO!
It’s Freedom.
This is what freedom in Christ in this moment feels like.
I get to love this baby.
I get to hear him drink in nourishment.
I get to desire the sincere milk of the Word. See 1 Peter 2:2-4.
I get to snuggle with this little package of love. I get to!
A life of I get to. It’s a taste of Heaven on earth!
Is it hard to keep trusting that GOD is always good and we are always loved especially when what is today does not look like what you prayed for? Is it hard to keep a countenance of faith when you see the walls cracking and crumbling and you can do nothing to stop the tumbling and rumbling – in your stomach or their walls?
YES!
But you do. By GOD’s grace you do.

We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
