Mirror Reflections

Philippians 1: Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
via Philippians 1:6 – Passage Lookup – Holman Christian Standard Bible – BibleGateway.com.

So am I?

Are you?

How often have we quoted this verse to a brother or sister with a downcast countenance?  And yet when we look in the mirror what do we believe?

Did your Momma tell you: “If you can’t say something good, don’t say anything at all.”?

Well?  Why does that not apply to the one reflected in the mirror?

Perhaps it does.

Ephesians 4: New American Standard Bible (NASB)
29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
via Ephesians 4:29 – Passage Lookup – New American Standard Bible – BibleGateway.com

I would do well to practice this today on the woman in the mirror.
How about you?

I pray, ABBA, for the courage and the faith to practice this Word today; for You, for others and for me.  And I pray the same courage and faith for each Dear One who comes to this screen. We continue to remember Misty and Willow Grace, asking for protection, for a safe delivery; a healthy, safe delivery for both Misty and Willow Grace  – even allowing Willow Grace one more week safely inside to grow. And we pray for the others named at PFT.  You see each of their faces, You know their every thought, fear, hope and dream; and You know what is right and good eternally for them and it is for that we pray in JESUS Name. Amen and amen.

Do well today, my Friends.

Honored to be a handmaiden of the LORD,
Kathie

  (4:35 PM)
Dear Frister, Doctor is putting Misty in the hospital as I type this.  All her function tests except one are in and they are all borderline or bad..liver function especially.  She will not go home without delivery this time, he told her…Sooo, probably tonight or tomorrow before five.  He’s leaving for a weekend in Memphis @ five o’clock tomorrow so it will be between now and then.  Pray hard for their health and safety.   Willow Grace, in all her 4 lb. 2 oz. glory will be here soon.

I go to pulmonary doctor tomorrow and if he allows me, I get to see my sister.  Betty is improving.  Thank you sweet LORD for Your handiwork!
Thanks for all your support and prayers.
Love ya!
Melinda

LET

Colossians 3: (New American Standard Bible)
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
via Col 3:15 – Passage Lookup – New American Standard Bible – BibleGateway.com.

Let.

It’s my choice. It’s your choice.

So will we?

Will we LET the Peace of JESUS be our deciding factor today?

Will we make decisions today based upon maintaining the Peace of JESUS in our hearts?

What will we deem worthy to forfeit His Peace within us?

Will railing on someone who cuts us off in traffic be worth forfeiting His Peace?

Just an example.
No doubt we ALL will have many opportunities today to choose to keep it or let it go.

So will we? Will we LET the Peace of Christ RULE Supreme today?

An attitude of gratitude will make the LETTING a lot easier.  We have HIS Word on it.  So let’s give it our all.

As you pray today I hope you are continuing to remember Megan, Kerri, Carolyn and Julia, Kathy and Joe, Kathy from MS,  Kathy C., LaJuanna, Dawn, Sandi, and others and matters listed at Praying for These. Click HERE to go to the web page.

ABBA, thank You for the strength to LET in JESUS Name. Thank You that today anything You ask us to do we can do. Thank You for hearing our prayers; thank You for tending every name we bring. Amen and amen.

In His Victory,
Kathie

More info on going to T’loosa area: we will either camp in tents or stay in free housing (or both). We’be been offered dorm style housing free. We’re trying to get a large moving type truck for supplies. We can carpool together – got space. I’m going up Sunday or Monday to get with people to finalize plans. We may go to a smaller community that is being overlooked but needs help just as badly.

For supplies needed: water, canned foods, batteries, maybe tents/blankets, diapers and formula…. for starters. I’m checking today for tent donations. We’ll leave either Thursday late afternoon or Friday. Need chainsaws. Please send me your email if you want to come or send supplies so I can get info to you in more detail. Hope you will join us. Thanks so much.

Thanks, Kathie
