IDOK DEVOTION FOR THURSDAY, JULY 2, 2009

I listened to a few renditions of the song but this one gave me tears and it is the one I give to you this morning to bring you to worship.

Truly our hope is built on nothing less than the Blood of Christ Jesus our Savior; all other ground is sinking sand. Found in Him, you, my sister and brother, are standing on a FIRM FOUNDATION today and in Him you shall not be moved however fierce the wind may be.

Ephesians 2:

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Oh, ABBA, how do we even begin this morning to thank You for Your rich mercy and the SOLID ROCK, Christ Jesus, upon Whom our salvation, eternity, life and well being is built and resting forever? Thank You, LORD, and as we rush here and there this morning, to care for this one and that one, and make this arrangement and that arrangement and prepare for the weekend and all that is in our minds to do today, help us to not forget You.

We still have all these listed here in mind this morning and we have Donald to add. You know his need, you know his past and you know his future and we pray that You will tend to him and that he will respond physically and spiritually. We pray that he will arise from this to give You glory and serve You with an even greater passion than he has served himself. I am grateful for the privilege to pray for him and I thank You for the love and testimony that brought his name to us. You are AWESOME GOD! Thank You for giving us LIFE.

Protect our IDOK Troops we pray, bring them home safe and sound and we continue to pray for Israel, the spread of the Gospel in Iran, and the cleansing of America. Amen and amen.

ABBA, I am posting this here in prayer as a daily prayer and I am praying as pure in motive as I know how today, asking that You by whatever ways and means You choose, see to the removal from office of every elected Official in Washington and all 50 States that is not sensitive to and is not inclined to work to preserve Judaeo-Christian values and the Constitution of this Nation in its Original Intent. Lord, I am so sorry that many (and thank You not all) offices of this Nation are filled with corrupt, reprobate-minded people who have no regard for You or Your Word and if I have done anything that has contributed to the election of these people, please forgive me and stop me from any further actions that will damage and bring this Nation to complete ruin. I pray Holy Spirit that You will stir the hearts and prayers of enough people to bring this Nation to repentance and will clean and cleanse the offices and the Officials of this Nation. Father God, please have mercy on us. Lord Jesus, clean Washington even as You did the Temple if need be. And Lord some weeks later since this prayer began we have word from one of those Alabama officials that he wants our prayers, that he is mindful of You, that he does love You and obviously he is well acquainted with Your Word. And ABBA I am so delighted and grateful for this man and for others like him, so for each of them (and You know who they are, Lord) we pray that You will anoint and empower them to stand firm and holy in these places of service You have given them and Lord please bring others alongside to stand with them and help them. And as he suggested move us to be involved in the political process with more than just our prayers according to the individual will You have for each of us. Again, Lord, thank You for this news, thank You for what You are doing. Amen and amen.

IDOK DEVOTION FOR WEDNESDAY, JULY 1, 2009

I have completed week one of Me, Myself and Lies! If you speak words to yourself that you would not speak to another, I recommend this study to you.

It has been a busy week, have pretty much abandoned my normal schedule, but Lord willing will return to it tomorrow.

Two words God spoke over me yesterday while sitting in the park watching grandchildren play: grace and truth. Is it graceful? Is it truthful? If I can answer yes, yes then I can speak it; otherwise – hush!

And this morning I have been reading in Isaiah 12. It’s a short chapter only 6 verses, but packed with power for us when we believe it. I’ll give you one verse here and close this morning. I particularly like the Amplified Version as it says: Cry aloud and shout joyfully, you women and inhabitants of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.

With a few exceptions we, IDOKs, are a group of women and I am convinced that the Holy One of Israel is in our midst and He is here to do great works among us and, yes, even through us. He has done great works in our midst already but He is surely not finished with us. And if I am to see those great works and if I am to be a vessel of those great works, I must remember, grace and truth – speak it or hush!

You are so gracious ABBA. So gracious to me, to all of us; thank You for the Words You speak over us that Your Words are filled to overflowing with Grace and are altogether, forever Truth. I was reminded yesterday Lord, You are full of grace and truth and so must I be. Make it so. Make it so. Thank You for Kim’s good report and we pray the reports will continue to be good. We pray for Jon today as he seeks medical assessment and help for issues and conditions that You will guide the physicians to accurate diagnosis and appropriate remedies. We pray too for Ed and Debra, I know little to nothing about their conditions but obviously they desire to be helped and healed and so we pray for this. And Doug, I am beyond words except to speak again that You are love, You are kind and gracious in all that You do and allow. Thank You for Your presence with Doug and Claudia and Lord, Thy will be done. And over all these today we speak Your Grace, Your Truth, Your Healing and Uplifting Love and Mercy. And over our IDOK Troops we speak protection and safety and safe returns home to family and friends. And to troubled in mind and soul IDOKs we speak rest and trust. Amen and amen.

IDOK DEVOTION FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 30, 2009

We know when Luke penned the words of the Gospel, he wrote as he was directed by the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16) recording for us what he had seen and heard; and he often found confirmation in what had already been written by the Prophets (also moved upon by the Holy Spirit) of the Old Testament. Take a look with me. Luke 18:27 But He said, What is impossible with men is possible with God. Luke heard Jesus say these words but Luke had read them too. In the Script of the Old Scrolls, Jesus by faith found Himself and so did His Disciples – so can we!

Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord? At the appointed time, when the season [for her delivery] comes around, I will return to you and Sarah shall have borne a son.

Do you have something that difficult and that wonderful for which you are praying? HE is able! You will recall that Sarah was well passed child bearing years, beyond menopause; who knows she may even have been beyond night sweats; and Our God delivered on His promise!

Now move with me to Jeremiah 32:17 Alas, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too hard or too wonderful for You –

Did you see it? Jeremiah is NOT asking a question. He is not saying Is there anything to difficult for God. He is proclaiming there is nothing too hard for the Lord God! We can proclaim that too.

One more; same chapter, verse 27; here God is asking the question of the Nation of Old and, yes, He is asking us too! Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me? And how shall we answer Him today? Alas, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too hard or too wonderful for You –

Dear Friends, Please pray for my precious brother, Donald, who is having a Melanoma Cancer removed from his back Thursday, July 2nd. Please pray that the cancer can be completely removed by surgery and that he will not need any further treatments. This is the same brother who went into cardiac arrest 18 months ago and was resuscitated. Thank you so much, La Juanna

ABBA, we have just read and we here proclaim that all things are possible with You. By Your great power and outstretched arm You made the heavens and the earth and by Your power and outstretched arm, we ask You to attend Donald and Doug and Katie and Brian and Loyce and Marzelle and KC and Neolle and Mary and everyone of these precious people listed here. I am comforted that You know every face represented by the name; You know and You care. Thank You Lord for what You have done and will yet do for each one. Thank You for the protection You have given our IDOK Troops; thank You for the protection You will yet give. And I pray for them particularly anyone that is not walking as closely with You as You have called him too, I pray he will allow You to correct that. IDOK DEVOTION FOR MONDAY, JUNE 29, 2009

We have enjoyed our weekend and although it is Monday, our weekend is not quite finished so I will be brief this morning. From my reading this morning I offer you one verse. Isaiah 2:5 O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the Lord.

Walk today in the LIGHT the LORD has given you. What you know from Him to do, do that today.

Praise and Prayer

This report came in on Saturday: “I just wanted to thank you so much for all your prayers for Hayden. Angie and Matthew are so appreciative!! Hayden is off the ventilator now, still on a few iv drips, but ate a popsicle this evening. He’s on the road to recovery!! Thank you”

This one came in on Friday afternoon: PTL! Mother’s (Marzella) spinal biopsy report was negative so looks like cancer is confined to lung; may be a candidate for surgery. Thank you all for your prayers. God is in control and on His throne! He has shown us so many miracles already in this journey! Love you all! Brenda God Bless You Today!

And today I want to give you another prayer privilege over which to pray:

My Grandson, Ethan, will spend his thirteenth birthday in Russia this year. He will be part of a 40 voice Youth Choir joining thousands in Helsinki , Finland . This is an opportunity that only God could provide, because Ethan’s parents could not afford to send him. The Russian born, raised & trained director wanted him to join them so much that she told my daughter to pay what she could when a cancellation came open. He has an amazing voice for a person so small. To read more about the trip, I’ve included a website if you are interested.

ABBA, please take this brief Word this morning and multiply and flourish it with much fruit in the hearts and walks of our IDOKs today. Thank You for the praises that have come to us and thank You for privilege of prayer and thank You for this opportunity for Ethan; we pray for traveling mercies for him and all his companions, we pray for voices loud, clear and melodious. We pray You will be glorified and the purpose for which You have given Ethan this trip will be realized. We pray for peace and blessings upon the family in all this.

We are remembering Doug this morning and Claudia. You know the need and we are depending upon You to meet it. You know the need of every person and situation represented in the names below and we pray for Your Will to be done because we KNOW Your Will is best. Lord, I am so sorry that many (and thank You not all) offices of this Nation are filled with corrupt, reprobate-minded people who have no regard for You or Your Word and if I have done anything that has contributed to the election of these people, please forgive me and stop me from any further actions that will damage and bring this Nation to complete ruin. I pray Holy Spirit that You will stir the hearts and prayers of enough people to bring this Nation to repentance and will clean and cleanse the offices and the Officials of this Nation. Father God, please have mercy on us. Lord Jesus, clean Washington even as You did the Temple if need be. And Lord some weeks later since this prayer began we have word from one of those Alabama officials that he wants our prayers, that he is mindful of You, that he does love You and obviously he is well acquainted with Your Word. And ABBA I am so delighted and grateful for this man and for others like him, so for each of them (and You know who they are, Lord) we pray that You will anoint and empower them to stand firm and holy in these places of service You have given them and Lord please bring others alongside to stand with them and help them. And as he suggested move us to be involved in the political process with more than just our prayers according to the individual will You have for each of us. Again, Lord, thank You for this news, thank You for what You are doing. Amen and amen.
