Though we have sinned, STILL He loves us. Even when we get a burr under our saddle and we spend some time bucking – STILL He loves us. I don’t understand it. But I am SO Glad it is so!! He is AWESOME!
Wherever either of us are today, we have a Savior, we have THE SHEPHERD. Take your assurances today from Isaiah 40: 10 Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, And His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.
11 He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry them in His bosom, And gently lead those who are with young.
I Corinthians 10: 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Father God, You are the ONLY ONE Who can make these words alive in the hearts of each IDOK and that is what I am asking You to do today. I see us all in these verses today. Help each IDOK find himself, herself in this passage. To see You leading and holding as we need today. Lord Jesus You are the Mighty Shepherd and we are safe and secure, well fed and watered, kept from all harm as we stay close to You. Savior like a Shepherd lead us, MUCH we need Your tender care. Thank You for the words to this precious old hymn. Thank You for giving it to someone some years ago. Bless Your Holy Name Lord Jesus. You are So Awesome. Thank You for worship, thank You for happy tears. Thank You for loving a sinner like me; thank You for redeeming me. Thank You for redeeming each of us. Thank You that we don’t have to buck when a burr in under our saddle and thank You that You have forgiven when we have and You will again. But Abba, we pray now for strength and presence of mind to do better with the next burr – cause they will come, no doubt. Thank You for Your Word that if we want to overcome, in YOU we can. Help us choose You instead of the buck. And Abba, we pray now for our IDOK Troops. Thank You for protecting them, for leading them like the GOOD SHEPHERD that You are. Thank You for the good that has been done where they are. Thank You for what You will yet do. And thank You for bringing them home in the appointed time. And Father, I have the fate of America on my mind much now with the presidential election. You know my heart, You know my thoughts and I pray You will close the door to the Oval Office on the one that will not lead this country to honoring You. I pray You will expose the true colors of both before November. And Lord, help me sin not when I think of the media – they have given me many burrs lately. But You are MY KING and in You I am trusting. I cannot forget our Sister Israel. To see last night how many have come to receive You Lord Jesus as Savior delighted me so. Praise You Lord. Comfort them and grow them in faith. Somehow let them know they are loved by us Gentile Believers. Thank You Abba. And before I send this to our beloved IDOKs I pray for these listed here – Abba, You know their needs, each and every one, even all those that no one else knows.
