IDOK DEVOTION FOR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2008

Abba gave me a word today. It may not be for all of you today but it is likely that at some time in your journey here you are going to feel helpless about something. Feeling helpless tends to entice me to anger. And that is rarely good for me. So as I was mulling over some recent events related to the Presidential race and the liberal mainstream media, I recalled that feeling of helplessness. Helplessness more or less translates voiceless to me. If I cannot voice my consternation to the source who is spewing propaganda …well lets just say I don’t like. The airing of opinions and/or practices that consistently and shamelessly violate Scripture to me is propaganda and should be exposed for the sin it is. So when I hear that dung being spewed day and night, I really want to talk back. I want to tell the propagandists just how full of themselves they are.
But, today something not new, but refreshed is building in me, thanks to ABBA.
The Holy Spirit clearly spoke to my spirit today. He told me Little Girl you are not helpless and you are not voiceless. I am your voice. I am your help. Talk to ME. Come to ME. Talk to ME and listen to ME and I will lead you. I will teach you how to speak and when I have made you ready to speak, your platform, is My platform. And those platforms I have chosen for you I will give to you when I have readied you for them and in the meantime trust ME. I am defending you. Trust Me. Fret not, Honey. I can handle it. Come to ME and you will be strengthened. Listen to ME, you are not without help. You are not with out voice. You have MY Voice. You have ME. Stop believing Satan’s lies and you will no longer feel helpless or voiceless. Stop giving Our enemy that satisfaction. Hold you head up, walk with ME in humility and trust ME. Recall what you know. Recall that abiding in ME is your strength and your voice. Now Young Lady, get up and act like it. Refute Satan’s lies. Trust ME and watch ME work.
John 15: 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
Luke 12: 11 “Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say.
12 For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”
Yes, Sir, ABBA. You are so AWESOME. Thank You. Thank You. You are right. Thank You. Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for loving each IDOK so much. Thank You. A personal note: After tonight’s speech (9/4/08), I am no longer worried about John McCain. He has my support, my vote and my confidence. I am grateful for and excited with the McCain/Palin ticket. As you will, join me in prayer and support for their election.

IDOK DEVOTION FOR THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2008

Ecclesiastes 12: 1 in part says: Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, … . How important it is to live and love and laugh before our children in hope and faith that they will remember their Creator in their youth and avoid the vanity of vanities. But that is not really where I think we are going today – verse 6: Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, Or the golden bowl is broken, Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, Or the wheel broken at the well.
7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.
8 “ Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher, “ All is vanity.”
I am so glad Solomon did not stop here at vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Because you know if man does stop here it is all in vain. To look over all the goings and comings of this creation and stop there is of all things most void. We must go on and embrace the Creator of the sun that rises and the tide that ebbs. Listen to the conclusion that Solomon makes.
9 In addition to being a wise man, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge; and he pondered, searched out and arranged many proverbs.
10 The Preacher sought to find delightful words and to write words of truth correctly.
11 The words of wise men are like goads, and masters of these collections are like well-driven nails; they are given by one Shepherd.
I really like this. Goads are a good thing. Remember what Jesus said to Saul on the road to Damascus? Acts 26:14 …It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ I’d like to be like that. I’d like to speak in words of wisdom that would ‘goad’ others to be saved. And next I think of a master carpenter. Have you ever watched a good carpenter drive a nail? They make it look easy – it’s not. It takes much practice! But when a nail is set right, ask any carpenter, he will tell you it is a thing of beauty. I’d like to be like that – speaking wisdom until the affect it has upon folks is a thing of beauty to THE MASTER CARPENTER. As I said it takes practice. And then it says given by one Shepherd. Yes, wisdom is give by ONE Shepherd. The Lord Jesus Himself.
12 But beyond this, my son, be warned: the writing of many books is endless, and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body.
Book Learning (education) is good. Education is GREAT. But devotion to education alone, for education’s sake is vanity. When all is said, and all is done this is it: 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Should anyone ask you why am I here? Now you can tell them. You are here for God! To reverence Him, to obey Him. That’s it. That’s your whole duty from birth to death … And beyond.
And if you are not weary of reading, here’s something from my Bible Footnotes that you may find interesting regarding verse 6. “Some suggest that silver cord refers to the spinal cord. Golden bowl is broken: this may refer to the brain. Pitcher shattered at the fountain: One suggestion is that this is a failing heart. Wheel broken at the well: the system of veins and arteries radiating out from the heart might have appeared to the ancients like the spokes on a wheel. An alternative explanation of this verse is that each of the four images represents death.
Whichever explanation you prefer, the message is clear. NOW is the time to love, worship and serve our ABBA, Creator. Waiting to worship Him, waiting to love Him, waiting to serve Him is vanity of all vanities!
Abba, this is good. You are right. How foolish it would be for us to waste our breathing time ever learning but never knowing You are Truth. I am sorry that so many folks are doing this. I pray for a real and genuine love for them that will enable me to be a holy goad to them. I can’t think of anything more wonderful than being one that You work through to enlighten a soul and see them say YES to You; to see them born again from above. Teach me Lord how to drive those nails of wisdom. And I pray too for every IDOK who has this same desire that You will move us and empower us to be hammers and nails in Your Hand to build up and add to Your Body Lord Jesus. And we pray too for these listed here, for their well being – materially, physically, emotionally and spiritually. We pray each will prosper and be in health in all aspects of their lives for Your Glory and their good. We pray for Palin and McCain and their families for protection and wisdom. We pray that too for Obama and Biden. Father, even though I do not want Obama to be President, I want to see him radically love You and embrace You; he and Biden and their families. In these 60 or so days that we anticipate to be, I pray You will expose the media’s agenda; I pray You will expose the half-truths and the whole lies that are being told and I pray people will have their eyes opened and the enemies of holiness and those who will contribute to the destruction of America will be defeated. I pray Holy Spirit that You will pour out conviction upon the people of America. I pray You will give us space and grace to repent. I pray Lord Jesus that You will be proclaimed as Savior and Lord from the White House to every house in America. We continue to pray for Israel; it is a privilege to pray for them, for their peace and protection. Thank You, Lord, for being You and thank You for who You are grooming us to be. Again we are asking you to protect our IDOK Troops; protect their bodies from harm but also their minds and spirits. We think there is much going on around them and we know they are busy but in the quiet when they are missing home, be HOME to them Lord. Speak within and to them words of hope and courage and as much as possible close their ears to the media and it’s agenda that cares nothing for them or their well-being and success. You know us Lord, You know our hearts, You know our needs; thank You that Your are faithful; thank You for taking care of us always for Jesus sake. Amen and amen. As Is His Custom

IDOK DEVOTION FOR WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2008

This is beautiful; just listen. Psalm 119:132 Look upon me and be merciful to me, as Your custom is toward those who love Your name.
As Your custom is. The Holy Spirit highlighted this for me today and as He did my countenance was lifted! It is ABBA’s custom to be merciful to me – to you. It is His custom to look upon us. It is His custom to love us. Hallelujah! That does me good today.
133:Direct my steps by Your Word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me. Oh I can amen that! Yes, Lord, direct my steps. I have been asking Him just today to direct me, to tell me what to do about a certain thing. And here it is written for me. He is directing me. I can count on Him. You can count on Him too. But that is not all that is coming from this verse. There is a plea here that iniquity not have dominion over me. There is only ONE way that iniquity will not have dominion over me or over you. And that is as He directs our steps, we follow.
136: Rivers of water run down from my eyes, because men do not keep Your law. I am going to get better at this. I know I am because I know He has given me this Scripture today. I often ‘cry’ because men, women, boys and girls fail to obey The Word of the LORD but my ‘crying’ is not always the crying described here. My tears sometimes, too often I think, are not so much because of what their disobedience is doing to them but because of the affect it has on me! The discomfort or hardship it places on me. Do you see the difference? Today I do and by His Grace, tomorrow I will too.
142: Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth. Everlasting righteousness. I like that! There will NEVER, NEVER come a day when our God ceases to be righteous. There will NEVER, EVER come a day when He ceases to do the RIGHT THING for you and me. That comforts me. Let it comfort you too.
148:My eyes are awake through the night watches, that I may mediate on Your Word. I am blessed. I sleep well. But this I know, on those occasions when sleep eludes me, there’s a purpose for my sleeplessness: to mediate on His Word. And in those nights when you have been sleeping well and the call of nature wakes you up and someone’s child or even your own son or daughter or grand-child comes to mind; that’s a call to meditate the Word in prayer maybe. Be faithful to pray The Word back to Father. How sweet it would be to drift off to sleep again praying for someone. Only eternity may tell you how important was your praying.
149: Hear my voice according to Your loving-kindness; O LORD, revive me according to Your justice. Yes! Not because of the words I say; not because of the deeds I have done, does He hear me. He hears me because of His loving-kindness! It is the same with you. It is not your words, however eloquent or simple they may be; it is not have well you have performed. No, He hears you because He is loving-kindness. AND He revives us according to His JUSTICE. He is RIGHT to revive us. And if He is right to revive us, and He is; then most assuredly when we call upon Him to revive us, HE WILL. I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There’s that word again… JUST. Okay. I am revived!
Thank You ABBA. Just what I needed today. You are loving-kindness; You are Right, You are Just. Thank You. And I pray for our IDOKs that this writing will encourage them too. Maybe they don’t need this word for the same reason I need it but I know You can apply it just right for each and that is what I am asking you to do for them. Thank You for the privilege of calling these names to You now. Thank You for the privilege of entering into the Work, the miracles You are pulling together and giving out to these. Thank You for Your endless love and mercy to these. Thank You for protecting our IDOK Troops; we are so grateful for each day they serve and we pray they will lean on You and continue to serve well and come home safely with mind, heart and body intact and ready to keep on loving You more and more. We pray for peace of mind for each family member as they wait for a successful conclusion to this war. Today again we remember Israel and we pray for Peace for them. Again we pray for the repentance of America. Father, I ask You for mercy for the people of America. You have been long-suffering already but I pray for more – more space and more grace to repent. You know my heart for the election. And I particularly pray for Sarah as she faces the media wolves. I pray for her strength and faith to fail not. LORD, You know what You want for America, You know the role, the part You want this Nation to take in this time in history. I pray You will raise up those who are willing to work with You and I pray You will sideline those who refuse to work with You. Maybe it is a tiny thing and maybe it will not make a thimble-full of difference but I am personally asking you to prayerfully consider boycotting and making that boycott known to as many people as possible regarding NBC, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, The New York Times and The Washington Post. These media entities are corrupt, bias and hell-bent on getting Obama elected as President. Pray earnestly that Father will in a big way expose these entities for who they are and for what is their God-less agenda and pray that the eyes and minds of people will be opened to TRUTH.
I have sent e-mails advising NBC, CBS and ABC of my boycott.
