WE WIN!

IDOK DEVOTION FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2009

Romans 8:

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Yet, in spite of what appears to be so, in ALL these things, we in HIM are victors, not victims.

Prayer Request from Robelynn: Need you to add another to the prayer list…..my nephew had 2 enlarged lymph nodes removed and was awaiting tests. He just emailed me. He has Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and will be undergoing both chemo and radiation. I know little more at this time. His name is Michael. He is the oldest son of my half-brother, Richard.

ABBA, You have amazed me with what You have done. You have taken a group of praying women (and some men too) and You have put together a network that draws people to prayer, that draws people to Yourself. Thank You for letting me be a participant in this. Thank You for reminding us from Your Word today that we are not victims unless we choose to be, that in You LORD we are victorious, period. You know my thoughts, words are not coming easily this morning. Jerry and I were so blessed last night as we visited with Ollie and family. We went to comfort and we were comforted; we went to encourage and we received encouragement. It’s amazing and wonderful how You do that! Thank You. And while we rejoice with the miracle turn around we witnessed, we are mindful that miracles are not always the turn around we want. Some miracles are transitions Home. And that is what we are expecting for Bernie. I envision the striking of the band because a brave, beloved, wonderful, godly solider is coming home. LORD, make that transition from here to there gloriously peaceful. Saturate that room with Your Own Sweet Fragrance. LORD thank You, thank You for the season You gave me here as sister and friend. Thank You for the eternity we have yet before us.

And now we add Michael. Be to him, his all in all. We declare in You he is not a victim of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, he is a canvas upon which to display Your Glory. Shine, LORD, shine. We declare that each of us are canvases in Your gallery and You are painting with brushes and colors of Your Divine Will and You are producing masterpiece after masterpiece. Holy Spirit, let us not demand in attitude, word or deed to be given the brushes and colors because we would surely mar the masterpiece You have already begun.

We again petition You for protection of our IDOK Troops, mind, body and spirit; for protection of Israel and the surrender or defeat of all Israel’s enemies; and for forgiveness and repentance to be granted and received by the people of America and our Leaders in every House and Branch.

I pray for our IDOKs that not one of us would put on a victim mind today but will stand toe to toe in victory. Amen and amen. A SPECIFIC UNSPOKEN.
