Permit me a re-run today from April 23, 2004 — A Wedding!

John 14

¹DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.

²In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you.

³And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.

He said He was going away and He did. He said He is coming back and He is. He said He was preparing a place for them and He is and you and I are included in that “you”. How I do I KNOW the you includes us?

John 17

²⁰Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching,

²¹That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.

²²I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one:

²³I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.

²⁴Father, I desire that they also whom You have entrusted to Me [as Your gift to Me] may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory, which You have given Me [Your love gift to Me]; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Now, what do we see? He said: I am going away to prepare a place for you. Okay, that’s a promise. And He said: I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. Okay, that’s another promise. And now to fit us into that promise He said: all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching, There we are!! And look for one more thing; He said: Father, I desire that they also whom You have entrusted to Me [as Your gift to Me] may be with Me where I am, WOW! We are a GIFT to Him and He DESIRES that we be with Him forever! HE IS RETURNING! And He is coming to escort us to the PLACE HE HAS PREPARED FOR US… THE GROOM IS COMING FOR THE BRIDE! That is ONE Wedding I will not miss!

Oh Father God thank You, thank You for including us; thank You for redeeming us; thank You for giving us Your sure and certain promises; thank You Holy Spirit that You have been given to us to seal the deal and for us to KNOW that we are certain to be with You always; that Heaven is a REAL and tangible place and we will be there with You when our place is made ready for us and until You get our place ready; help us OCCUPY here till You come for us; help us do what we are called to do here to prepare to be there with You. Help us deliver Word of Your promises; help us see others birthed into Your Kingdom so they too can share and know a place is being prepared for them too. Father, You know I have many, many people on my mind this morning; we have already spoken of some of them, and You know there are even more; all Your people today need encouragement and strength and wisdom and solutions to problems and situations and relief of burdens or at least a shifting in the load… Yes, shift the load to You… Help us do that and help us bear one another’s burdens as You lead and call us to do. Thank You for Your promises; thank You for a forever home that is forever sure with You for Jesus sake.

Reports: Tim is home and the surgeon said the procedure went well. Now, keeping Tim off his feet for a while is the biggie! Thank you for your prayers and as you are impressed by the Holy Spirit, please continue to pray for him and the family.

Report I got on Chandler and should have given you a couple days ago:

I just spoke with Chan’s epileptologist. The lab report from what they took out of his brain showed cortical dysplasia. Apparently this is something that occurs when neurons don’t migrate in the proper formation and some end up bigger than others. It causes them to misfire which causes seizures. It happens during pregnancy, and it is not something he can pass on to any of his children. It’s just one of those things. Only Chandler. The good news is that he had the most severe type, IIB. This is good news because the more severe the type, the better his chances are of the seizures not re-occurring once you have surgery. Terry
