IDOK DEVOTION FOR TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 2009

Please don’t think me irreverent when I say our God is a SWEETHEART in the most AWESOME sense. Not only is He Holy Serious but He is so FUN! Today as I sit to write, it has not been a day to ‘write home’ about BUT as I was finally changing the sheets and getting the bed made (this afternoon) I said to myself, ‘I need some music’. You know, to lift my soul. So I opened my YouTubes and my goodness do I have a bunch. So many that I did not know which to choose so I closed my eyes, pointed the cursor and clicked. Would you like to know which one DADDY GOD picked for me? Good. I’ll tell you. It was He’s An On Time God! I love it!! When I will shut up and listen long enough, He sure does make me smile!! And He certainly IS an On Time God!! Ok, back to making the bed. ‘See’ you all in a little while.

This year’s EWomen Conference was excellent. The theme was ‘Free to be Real’ and I am still digesting, by bits and pieces, the sights and sounds experienced there. I’m not a great note taker but I took a few. Stormie Omartian has a tremendous testimony. She knows of what she speaks and she ‘counseled’ us if we are in need of any type of transformation, the key is not a list of do this and do that BUT simply to SEEK THE PRESENCE OF GOD HIMSELF. And as she said those words I immediately thought of that verse of Scripture I have often miss-quoted, that ‘God inhabits the praises of His people’. That is not exactly what it says. This is how it reads in the KJV:

Psalm 22:3 But Thou art holy, O Thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

So even though I didn’t have it verbatim, I believe we can count on Him showing up when we praise Him. So all these things I want changed in me, the place for me to begin, the place for you to begin, is PRAISE. Praise Him everyday for or IN everything that comes our way and we are guaranteed He WILL show up and, I think, show out big in our circumstances. Is that GREAT or what?

I Thessalonians 5:18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. 19 Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [Holy] Spirit;

Father God, there is no doubt You are worthy of praise and there is no doubt we are in need of transformation, so we ask for the will to seek Your Presence. And we ask for the will to Praise You for the grace and glory You lavish on us everyday and we ask for the will to praise You IN those things that You do not SEND but You do allow for our learning. Which if only we will learn will transform us from glory to glory. Thank You for this weekend, for the messages and the sweet fellowship with Sisters I love so much. And Father, for every one of those women who went to the Altar on Saturday morning for prayer, I pray now that their wills are still stayed on You; encourage them and undergird them I pray. Please guard, protect and undergird our IDOK Soldiers today and please bring them home safe and sound at the appointed time. Today I renew again my prayer for the cleansing of Washington and all 50 States. And we come together in one accord on behalf of each name listed here, for Your Presence to be made know to them all in just they way they need You for Your own glory and for their good. Amen and amen.

ABBA, I am posting this here in prayer as a daily prayer and I am praying as pure in motive as I know how today, asking that You by whatever ways and means You choose, see to the removal from office of every elected Official in Washington and all 50 States that is not sensitive to and is not inclined to work to preserve Judaeo-Christian values and the Constitution of this Nation in its Original Intent. Lord, I am so sorry that many (and thank You not all) offices of this Nation are filled with corrupt, reprobate-minded people who have no regard for You or Your Word and if I have done anything that has contributed to the election of these people, please forgive me and stop me from any further actions that will damage and bring this Nation to complete ruin. I pray Holy Spirit that You will stir the hearts and prayers of enough people to bring this Nation to repentance and will clean and cleanse the offices and the Officials of this Nation. Father God, please have mercy on us. Lord Jesus, clean Washington even as You did the Temple if need be. Amen and amen.
