IDOK DEVOTION FOR WEDNESDAY, JULY 15, 2009
A conversation with some one dear today was fodder for thought about prayer. You see I am convinced that because Jesus is my Savior that every prayer I pray, He hears. On occasion, albeit not often, when I pray I just know in my ‘gut’ that the prayer is going to be answered in the affirmative, the way I prayed it. I love it when that happens but like I said that’s not often. More often I pray in faith, uncertainly; that is I am certain that ABBA is hearing me and I am certain He will answer and I am certain He will answer in one of three ways. What I am uncertain of is will He answer yes, will He answer no, or will He answer wait. I have also discovered that any NO He gives me is because He has something better to give me than I asked Him to give. I have also discovered by practical experience that His answer of wait, can come unexpectedly; that thing for which He allowed me to wait when it arrived looked nothing like what I thought I was waiting on, it was so much better!
It’s like this: whatever it is, I’ve got nothing to loose by asking. However, far out it may seem; however, off the wall; however, impossible; however far fetched, I can ask! And He will answer!! And you know what? You can too. Every born-again man, woman, boy or girl, can ask and He will answer every time!!
I Kings 8:
28 Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O LORD my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today:
29 that Your eyes may be open toward this temple night and day, toward the place of which You said, ‘My name shall be there,’ that You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes toward this place.
I Corinthians 6:
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
As I said to my beloved just now when he came into the room, “you got to read this, this is good!” The TEXT I mean!! All praise to our God and King!!
Praise Reports and Prayer Requests
ABBA, when I began this devotion I did not know where it was going but I am delighted where we landed. Thank You. You love us so much! So much more than we can think or feel. Thank You. And we ask You to help us pray in certain faith knowing that even though there is so much we do not know, we can KNOW You hear us and You always answer and You always answer perfectly, in perfect time and with the perfect answer. We don’t always agree with You, that’s not good; thank You that You love us anyway and You help us when we ask to come into agreement with You. And we want to do that; we want to be in agreement with You however You answer, be it yes, no or wait. We want to be in agreement with You because that is what honors You and yes, blesses us and we admit we want Your blessings. And we want to bless You; help us do that. You are SO AWESOME. And so now we pray for Glenn and his family; You know the need there better than we and we trust You. You know the condition of both Donalds and for them we pray Thy Will be done. We pray that for every person and situation represented in these names listed here. We pray for our IDOK Troops to be safe and protected in spirit, soul and body; we pray for the peace of Israel, the salvation of the lost and the revival of Your Church. Amen and amen.

ABBA, I am posting this here in prayer as a daily prayer and I am praying as pure in motive as I know how today, asking that You by whatever ways and means You choose, see to the removal from office of every elected Official in Washington and all 50 States that is not sensitive to and is not inclined to work to preserve Judaeo-Christian values and the Constitution of this Nation in its Original Intent. Lord, I am so sorry that many (and thank You not all) offices of this Nation are filled with corrupt, reprobate-minded people who have no regard for You or Your Word and if I have done anything that has contributed to the election of these people, please forgive me and stop me from any further actions that will damage and bring this Nation to complete ruin. I pray Holy Spirit that You will stir the hearts and prayers of enough people to bring this Nation to repentance and will clean and cleanse the offices and the Officials of this Nation. Father God, please have mercy on us. Lord Jesus, clean Washington even as You did the Temple if need be. And Lord some weeks later since this prayer began we have word from one of those Alabama officials that he wants our prayers, that he is mindful of You, that he does love You and obviously he is well acquainted with Your Word. And ABBA I am so delighted and grateful for this man and for others like him, so for each of them (and You know who they are, Lord) we pray that You will anoint and empower them to stand firm and holy in these places of service You have given them and Lord please bring others alongside to stand with them and help them. And as he suggested move us to be involved in the political process with more than just our prayers according to the individual will You have for each of us. Again, Lord, thank You for this news, thank You for what You are doing. Amen and amen.
