Psalm 126 (New International Version, ©2011)
1 When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.
2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”
3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
4 Restore our fortunes, LORD, like streams in the Negev.
5 Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
6 Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.

When life was so good their lives were like a dream, their mouths were filled with laughter, their tongues with songs of joy. Folks all around noticed and said The LORD has done great things for them. And they replied The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
So has He? And are we?
You have done great things for us LORD; please fill our mouths with laughter and our tongues with songs of joy and words of praise. Teach us to measure our words; measure them so they will exalt You and encourage others. Teach us to weigh our words so they will edify our hearers. And, HOLY SPIRIT, remind us quickly and convict us sharply when we are quick to hurt and condemn others. Help us ponder well. And I am reminded in this moment of Your Awesomeness, I have seen You change hearts that I thought were stone and now Your love flows freely from them. Oh praise You Sweet JESUS. Thank You. Thank You. There are more to be healed; we pray and we wait and we trust You. Amen and amen in Your Holy Name, LORD JESUS.
Blessed to Bless,
Kathie

Mmmmm. I love that Mercy Me song!
And I am reminded by this psalm of a sermon I heard some time ago. That we can also give glory to God when things are not going well. When we don’t FEEL like singing songs of joy. We can give glory to God in our suffering, by being faithful and trusting Him even in the midst of the pain.
I am so thankful that HE is THAT GOOD!
Love to you!
And love to you, my friend, and thank you for your insights here. And yes for sure, for sure HE IS THAT GOOD! Amen and amen.
