Cruel Strangers

1 From: Ya‘akov, a slave of God and of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah To: The Twelve Tribes in the Diaspora: Shalom!

via James KJV;CJB – James, a servant of God and of the Lord – Bible Gateway.

Shalom!
Peace.

Among his first words to the Twelve Tribes in Diaspora he said PEACE. They are dispersed from their homeland and he says peace. Let your mind take the time to sense this Diaspora. Perhaps it meant their property had been seized from them; all their comforts and all things familiar forcibly removed from their sight, their touch; their security, their safety stolen; all they had worked to accumulate now squandered and consumed by others.  And James says Peace?  Yes. He said peace. Peace to you.

He also said he was a slave too. A slave of GOD; a slave of the LORD YESHUA. Perhaps we can gather from this that we are all going to be a slave to somebody or something and we would be far better served to voluntarily be a slave – one surrendered to the Lordship of the Son of GOD. We can be assured when we surrender our being and all our possessions to JESUS we will have peace even in the presence of cruel strangers and strange circumstances.

33 “I have said these things to you so that, united with me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have *tsuris. But be brave! I have conquered the world!”

via John 16:33 KJV;CJB – These things I have spoken unto you, – Bible Gateway.

* trouble; woe. via tsuris – definition of tsuris by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

I like the rendition BRAVE. It does not mean that I will not sense fear; it just means I will not allow my fear to immobilize me; I will move in step with JESUS even when I am afraid – I will be brave!

So do you think PEACE brings Bravery?

Yeah. Me too!

Safe Focus

He corrected my thinking with Truth.

I hope to tell you more in a while about the lovely new friend who made that statement this weekend.

He corrected my thinking with Truth!

Please think on that.  What a gift for which to pray that the HOLY SPIRIT would correct our thinking with His Truth revealed in the Bible.

31 So Yeshua said to the Judeans who had trusted him, “If you obey what I say, then you are really my talmidim, 32 you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

via John 8:31-33 KJV;CJB – Then said Jesus to those Jews which – Bible Gateway.

7 Then God’s shalom, passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with the Messiah Yeshua. 8 In conclusion, brothers, focus your thoughts on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, lovable or admirable, on some virtue or on something praiseworthy.

via Philippians 4:7-9 KJV;CJB – And the peace of God, which passeth all – Bible Gateway.

Let me quickly call your attention to a couple of words: Safe. Abiding in GOD’s peace will keep our hearts and our minds SAFE in CHRIST JESUS as we FOCUS on His Truth.

Oh to have our thinking corrected!

ABBA, correct my thinking; all that I might think to be true that in truth is not true – correct me HOLY SPIRIT, that I will not only know Your Truth but walk in truth and obedience. I pray this, ABBA, for me and for every soul that would come here in agreement asking You for this precious gift in YESHUA’s Mighty and Lovely name.

Big and Bold

Yesterday I pondered

29 Let no harmful language come from your mouth, only good words that are helpful in meeting the need, words that will benefit those who hear them.

via Eph 4 KJV;CJB – I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, – Bible Gateway.

Today it is this:

I will run my life with a sincere heart inside my own house.   3 I will not allow before my eyes any shameful thing.

via Ps 101 KJV;CJB – I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto – Bible Gateway.

Surely I have read this before but today it is highlighted big and bold; for if I run my life with a sincere heart and allow no shameful thing to have access to my heart through my eyes (or my ears) INSIDE my house — for sure, for sure I will do the same OUTSIDE my house.

And surely if inside my being all is given over to YESHUA, my actions will be too.

This is good to ponder I think. Good to ponder; better to practice. Blessings my Friends.

ABBA, Your Word is precious to us, I pray It will become more and more dear to us as we practice obedience. Thank You for loving us, thank You for enabling us to love You, and thank You for always doing all things well in YESHUA’s mighty and holy name I pray.

In The Morning

I’m not so wordy these several days. Please give me some days and prayer. At this writing it is nearly Monday and at posting time it will be Monday. Monday, March 3, 2014 – the day of Jamie’s Memorial Service. We are adjusting. When Jamie stepped into Eternity where time doesn’t matter, it seems time should give us a respite, but alas it marches on. The sun still shines, the birds still sing and people continue to eat, sleep, work and play. And so we grieve, but not as those who have no hope but as those processing the void.

I borrowed this pic from Jamie’s Facebook page. She spliced it herself in October of 2013; always full of faith, always full of joy and life – and now, still full of joy and life and her faith is now sight.  See you in ‘the morning’, Sweet Girl!

13 Now, brothers, we want you to know the truth about those who have died; otherwise, you might become sad the way other people
14 do who have nothing to hope for. For since we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, we also believe that in the same way God, through Yeshua, will take with him those who have died.
15 When we say this, we base it on the Lord’s own word: we who remain alive when the Lord comes will certainly not take precedence over those who have died.
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels, and with God’s shofar; those who died united with the Messiah will be the first to rise;
17 then we who are left still alive will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord.
18 So encourage each other with these words.

via 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJV;CJB – But I would not have you to be – Bible Gateway.

So my friends, prayers for the Martin and Davis Families would be so appreciated today and in following days and weeks as the Holy Spirit brings them to mind.

ABBA, I still don’t understand but I trust You.
