At this day

Abba, this hurts so much and what hurts more is it is so totally unnecessary.
We are here, at this moment, the day after the Election not knowing who or what next, but knowing that millions of people have voted (either with eyes wide open or closed and deceived) for the slaughter, murder, and mutilation of children to legally continue in America. I can see You taking into account, personally and individually, how this was done. You know their names and You know their dwelling places. And I know You love them still and You desire for them to repent. Holy Spirit, please help them repent before it is too late for them to be made whole.

How You have been so gracious to us since 1973 is a mystery; and yet here we are at this day.

I don’t know what You do next but I am here asking You to yet save us.
I pray that we, Your Sons and Daughters made so by the Blood of Yeshua, will weep and wail over our own sins and the sins of people around us.
I pray for conviction to fall upon us so heavily that we are broken beneath it in order for us to arise and go forth in power and humility because we have repented in sackcloth and ashes.
I pray for mercy for myself, ABBA, that I will know and experience with You real repentance and surrender to You as my LORD and SAVIOR. Please wash me clean and fill me with Yourself so that I will forever come out from this world; still to be in it as You will, but never a part of it.  I ask You to walk with us through this day and every day following that You give us.  I am so sorry for the murder, the corruption, the apathy, and the spiritual blindness and deceit that has filled this world. I am so sorry for my many contributions and I pray to make amends in JESUS name.

Let me Introduce You

Vancouver, Washington is many miles from my homeplace, and yet I am inclined to share with you an opportunity to be involved; perhaps only through prayer.

His name is Rey Reynolds and he recently entered the political arena. He is asking for the vote of the people in the 49th District. So, what does that matter to me as I do not live in his district; what does it matter to you? That depends. Whether or not you are fond of all the people of America. Whether we care or not who is governing everywhere in these 50 United States of America. Because who is governing each District, County, or State, of this Land determines how well (or not) we are United. And that matters to me.

This is Rey Reynolds.

Today I heard him speak via an interview with Heidi St. John at Get Off the Bench with Heidi St. John.  I access Heidi’s podcast at Spotify. You may also go to her webpage, menu button podcast, and locate today’s interview.

So, I am here to urge you to use this link to introduce yourself to him and determine if perhaps you would be inclined to pray for him and his family.

FATHER GOD, thank You for this introduction to Rey and his family via the internet. I appreciate the transformation You have worked. I appreciate the mission You have called him to and I appreciate all that You will yet do for, in and through him and his family. You know the uphill challenge that is before him and I am asking You for protection and guidance and every resource he needs to do this work. I pray for favor and for people to come alongside him to help him, encourage him, and give him success as he seeks to do Your will. And, Holy Spirit, I pray for prayer warriors to stand in the gap on his behalf and so I am asking for Your prompting to pray for him and his family and his campaign as You see fit in Yeshua’s name.

Of a Mind

YouVersion.

I open this app often, almost daily. I did today and I found a verse in one of the devotions that required I ask myself some questions. And since I’m asking, perhaps you will also be of a mind to ask yourself a question or two.

So the question I was compelled to ask?
So, what are you craving? I mean what. Are. You. Craving?
What in this world do you want?

How we answer that will tell us who we are. It will tell us who and where our priorities fall.
I’m getting the picture with my name on it. And you?

Experience

Perhaps it was the KJV in which you memorized it.

Romans 8:28  (KJV) 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  source

And if you are like many who have been in covenant with GOD for many years you know it to be true experientially.  And this coronavirus siege will not change your experience.

Let’s try on this version:

Romans 8:28  (AMP) 28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.  source

That’s good too for pondering today.

Bring it Home

Luke 16

In this season of celebrating, giving and receiving, partying and more, we have the opportunity to choose wisely that which we prize and give honor. This verse brings it home, I think.

15 Then he said to them, You like to appear righteous in public, but God knows your hearts. What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God.  source

Let us survey the terrain; let us carefully notice and examine that which the public honors that we do not find ourselves opposing the GOD we are proclaiming this very Christmas Season.
