Bone Tired

Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime.  source  John 4

He was tired.
Really, really tired.
Some translations say exhausted.
Think about that! GOD determined
He would allow Himself to experience tiredness to let us know He knows what it is like to be us!  He knows how it feels to be tired. Tired to the bone tired! Can’t walk another step tired.

Yet! Even so. He set aside His flesh and bone body comfort and offered the woman at the well eternal life. She who came to the well at noon because it was too uncomfortable for her to come to the well in the cool of the morning like the other women did. But that’s a whole other story.

May we see today  that He came to identify with us so we could identify with Him! So we can in His GOD strength set aside our flesh and bone comforts to help someone else in need.

That’s It

Good Sunday Morning!

Here is the most important fact you will ever believe; that is if you believe it personally:

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.   source

For God so loved  (fill in your name) that He gave His one and only Son, that (fill in your name) believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. GOD did not send the Son into the world to condemn (fill in your name), but in order that (fill in your name) might be saved through Him.

First and the most important thing we need to know this Sunday Morning and every day: GOD Loves Us!  Second. JESUS did not come here to condemn us; we were condemned and damned before He arrived ( in His GOD-MAN body) — He came to rescue us! There is a condition though. We have to say YES! Yes to admitting our condemnation,  damnation  and yes to His offer of salvation. So, if by His Grace you are hearing His offer being offered to you today . . . say Yes!

That’s it.

Let Not

John 14:1 “Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me.  source

Do not let your heart be troubled.  Third word: let

2. To cause to; make

Look at that!

Do not give your heart permission to be troubled! Seriously? Does my heart have to have permission to be troubled? Obviously from Holy Writ it does. And this I know from recent experience, that permission to let it be troubled can be granted in a nano second!  Lets :) find some help.

What follows the first period in the verse? TRUST in GOD.

So when we are trusting our Savior with the immediate ordeal, or circumstance, or threat or whatever . . . our hearts will not be troubled.  That’s good news!

Holy

Would you say you have an interest in living holy? I did not say holier than thou, but holy. As in holy to God. Holy in your motives and loves and kind interaction with the family, friends and strangers you rub elbows with?

Then John 17:17 has good news for you. Yeshua prayed for us.  Not just any old prophet or preacher but The Holy One Himself. The GOD-MAN here on planet earth prayed for us and He said:

John 17: (TLV) 17 “Make them holy in the truth. Your word is truth. Source

So!  Do you want to be holy? The holy that gives you the favor of The FATHER? The holy that makes you a breath of fresh air when you walk into the room?

Then we must believe TRUTH. Believe GOD. Believe The WORD made flesh Who came and lived among humanity and Who is coming back for us!  (John 1:1-3, 14. John 14:1-3)
