Isaiah 30: 18 Therefore the LORD is waiting to show you mercy, And is rising up to show you compassion, For the LORD is a just God. Happy are all who wait patiently for Him. To this I can only add AMEN! Again today (tonight) I say Our God is AWESOME. He is a Perfect and Devoted Father. We are foolish indeed if we do not trust Him!
It did not go with my Mom the way we had hoped. In pre-op her heart rate went too high; two physicians worked on her and tried to bring it down but could not. So they postponed the surgery in hopes of bringing it down this afternoon, evening and over night. At this writing, the rate has come down and we are hopeful for surgery in the morning. The surgery is crucial as well as the timing of the surgery. The doctor says its tomorrow (Friday) or its traction until she heals – 6 months to a year. I am interceding as fervently as I know how asking that she rest tonight (Thursday), the rate stay down to a normal beat and that the surgery be textbook perfect tomorrow. If you will, please join me in this prayer. Thank you so much for your love and support. My back discomfort continues to lessen; I expect to be back to normal soon. God is so good. Thank you for praying. Father, You know the cry of my heart; You know the pain that my Mother is experiencing; You know her needs; You know our needs regarding her and I ask You to bring restful sleep to her tonight and a heart rate and blood pressure conducive to surgery in the morning and I pray that You will ensure the surgery repairs the hip and she recovers from this fracture. I ask You to comfort my Momma. I pray for Brenda and Gina to rest tonight too; they are weary, Lord. Thank You for hearing; thank You for answering. And Father, my Momma is not the only one suffering many others are too and we pray for them that they will find comfort and rest and restoration in You. That our IDOK Troops will be protected in mind and body and spirit; that they will know peace and safety in You; that their families will trust and rest easy in You until You bring each one home. Thank You for America; forgive her, give her grace and space to repent; protect Israel and bring Her the Peace You desire to give Her. Comfort each IDOK, draws us each closer to You and Father, thank You for them. Thank You for their love for You and for me and my family; render to them 100 fold for their love and devotion. Father, we commit this night, this day to You; not our will but Your Will be done in all that touches us for Jesus sake. Maggie and Family. Josh. Donnie S. Smith and family. Renee’. Isaiah 30: 15 This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, In quietness and trust is your strength, But you would have none of it. It is the in quietness and trust is your strength that jumped off the page for me this morning. The remainder of the verse says but you would have none of it; I am refusing to make that mistake today.
Quietness and Trust = strength. This morning I believe I am experiencing a holy hush and it is comforting. Our God is a Devoted and Precious Father. Thank you for your prayers for me – I am improving in record time; not without discomfort yet but it is subsiding quicker than in other episodes. I appreciate you. And this morning I need your prayers for my mother. She fell yesterday afternoon and the doctors say she shattered her right hip. The decision will be made this morning by her cardiologist if she will have hip repair surgery. Family in Tennessee reported to me last night that the doctors are keeping her medicated because the shattered hip hurts so much. My Mom is nearly 84. Please pray for her. Father, thank You for a holy hush; Your shhhh is a tender, sweet blessing to me. Thank You. And I know it will be to each needy soul this morning. Thank You for taking care of me, of my Momma, of our IDOK Troops, of every soul named here, of all that concerns any of Your Children. Maggie and Family. Josh. Donnie S. Smith and family. Renee’. Romans 8: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Forced rest has enabled me to do some reflecting, especially today. I have been concerned about my spiritual development for some time now and I think Daddy God gave me something today. Since I need a Wednesday IDOK anyway, might as well give you what I got for me?Right? I think my spiritual development is hindered because I let some physical things slide. My intention is always to only let it slide one time but most always the one time leads to another time and another and then before I know it a month has gone by. I’ll give you an example, probably more information than you want, but I think it will help prove my point. Years ago my dentist told me that flossing was not just important for me but imperative. I have a man-made tooth and it is made stationary in my mouth by a bridge connecting it to the two natural teeth on either side of it; however, there is the tiniest space beneath the tooth and the gum line. Because of that gap the dentist said: ‘you are to daily floss that space’. It takes about 60 seconds for not just that space but all my dental spaces; but am I faithful? No. And do I reap consequences? Of course. Do those consequences keep me flossing? Yep! For a little while. So what does that have to do with my spiritual development? MUCH! It’s called discipline! And a lack of discipline in any area is a spiritual matter. Let me give you another example. Not only do I have ‘spaces’ in my head (cute, huh?); I have a curvature of my spine which means my back needs special care — do I give it special care? Of course I do, as long as it hurts. And then what do I do when it begins to feel normal again for a couple weeks? You got it! I lapse. I skip a day of back exercises and then another and then another. Again, what does that have to do with spiritual development? Discipline! I’ll say it again: A lack of discipline in any area is a spiritual matter. So as I was enduring my forced rest today I began thinking about all the stuff that was going undone and it occurred to me that stuff goes undone all the time – one of my nemeses – one of those things that screams at me: you need help. So I told myself there are just some things I must discipline myself to do every day, no exceptions, no lapses. I then began to list them and as it turns out there are SEVEN. Good number – the number of Perfection. However, with more contemplation other things tried to get on my list but I said No I think these 7 encompass it all. And when I do these 7 things it will solve all my problems and will deal with every issue in my life that needs attention. No I’m not kidding. I really believe it. These 7 things will develop me into the woman I want to be and the woman I believe Father wants me to be. Are you ready? Here they are, Daily:
1. On my face prayer 2. Read/study my Bible. 3. Floss my teeth 4. Drink lots of water 5. Do my back exercises 6. Make careful food choices 7. Keep/work my calendar.
That’s it. Just those seven daily disciplines are enough to change me – I’m sure of it! I think I’ll post them for awhile on my mirror. I may even make a chart and checked them off daily for awhile. I am told just 21 days of checking them off (doing them) and the pattern will be set. So what’s your SEVEN? Father, You have been good to me today; You are good to me everyday! You are not finished with these 7 things, are You? Don’t let me be finished with them either. Thank You for the plans You have for me and I am certain You have plans for every woman, man or child that reads this IDOK wherever they are in the world – You have a plan for them. Not just any plan but Your Very Own Specially Designed Just For Them Plan. And I pray for those persons right now that as they are reading this that You Holy Spirit will convince them this is true and I pray You will plant a seed in each of them. I pray that seed will find fertile soil in their hearts and will take root, produce dreams and desires in them – Your Dreams and Desires for them. I pray we will become a people who cannot be satisfied with anything less than Radical Obedience and Radical Blessings. Lord, thank You for never giving up on us. Thank You for never giving up on these listed here. Some of these are scheduled to be traveling soon and Moms and G-Moms worry about that and so we are praying now for the ones traveling, the purposes for the travel and the ones concerned about these travels. We are boldly asking for traveling mercies, for protection, for Heavenly Favor upon these trips and purposes. Thank You Father. We are boldly asking for Your Hedge of Protection around each IDOK Troop today and we thank You for all the years of protection You have already given them. We ask for more. We ask that each one of them come home safe and sound at the appointed time. We ask for a successful conclusion to this war and for the Peace of Israel and we pray for America for Her Repentance and we pray for the worlds’ children suffering physical abuse and spiritual darkness – send relief to them and if we can be a conduit Lord beyond prayer, move us we pray. Again, I ask You to bless this IDOK; use it to glorify Yourself and empower Your People for Jesus sake. Maggie and Family. Josh. Donnie S. Smith and family. Renee’. Cathy’s friend and son. Jeremy H. Deuteronomy 32: 43 “ Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, and render vengeance to His adversaries; He will provide atonement for His land and His people.” 44 So Moses came with Joshua the son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. 45 Moses finished speaking all these words to all Israel, 46 and he said to them: “Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe—all the words of this law. 47 For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.” As I post this it is 70°F and mostly cloudy in Al Asad, IQ & the time there is 5:18 AM AST – on March 26, 2008 His Ministry to You
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
