IDOK DEVOTION FOR TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2008
I have an email from a friend containing a letter written by a resident of Alaska concerning Sarah Palin. This is not a forward of a forward eight times removed. It’s close enough you can believe it with confidence. Let me know in the comment box below and I will make it available to you.
Other than a couple inches of standing water in the low spots of the backyard, all is well here. And I am trusting things are similarly well with you all. It has been a lazy and I do mean lazy Labor Day at the Thompson house.
I recommend you read all of Proverbs 2 but here are a few verses.
6 For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
8 He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints.
Need wisdom today? Wisdom comes ONLY from the LORD. And He is eager to share with us. Just ask.
Need knowledge and understanding? He has that for us too.
Need protection? A shield today? He is that too for all who have applied in truth.
Feel like you’ve been ‘done wrong’? Hold steady – ABBA preserves the way of His saints. Hold steady and you will see – He’ll work it out for you. Hold Steady and believe.
Abba, You have been so gracious, so merciful. Thank You for hearing our prayers. Thank You for answering so graciously. Thank You. And today too we thank You for wisdom. Thank You that when we ask, You give. Thank You that You open Your mouth and teach us; You give knowledge and understanding to us. Thank You that You are our shield, our defender, our Protector.
