His Favorite Song of All

IDOK DEVOTION FOR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2008
Revelation 22: 20    He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Let your tears wash your face, raise your hands in abandoned surrender and bring a smile to FATHER GOD’s face today.

The pictures that accompany this song are magnificent. I recommend full-screen viewing.
If you are unable at the moment to hear the song please be blessed by the printed words:
His Favorite Song of All
He loves to hear the wind sing
As it whistles through the pines and mountain leaves
And He loves to hear the raindrops
As they splash to the ground in a magic melody
He smiles in sweet approval
As the waves crash through the rocks in harmony
And creation joins in unity
To sing to Him majestic symphonies

But His favorite song of all
Is the song of the redeemed
When lost sinners now made clean
Lift their voices loud and strong
When those purchased by His blood
Lift to Him a song of love
There’s nothin’ more He’d rather hear
Nor so pleasin’ to His ear
As His favorite song of all

And He loves to hear the angels
As they sing, “Holy, holy is the Lamb”
Heaven’s choirs in harmony
Lift up praises to the Great I Am
But He lifts His hands for silence
When the weakest saved by grace begins to sing
And a million angels listen
As a newborn soul sings, “I’ve been redeemed!”

‘Cause His favorite song of all
Is the song of the redeemed
When lost sinners now made clean
Lift their voices loud and strong
When those purchased by His blood
Lift to Him a song of love
There’s nothin’ more He’d rather hear
Nor so pleasin’ to His ear
As His favorite song of all

Bridge:
It’s not just melodies and harmonies
That catches His attention
It’s not just clever lines and phrases
That causes Him to stop and listen
But when anyone set free,
Washed and bought by Calvary begins to sing

That’s His favorite song of all
Is the song of the redeemed
When lost sinners now made clean
Lift their voices loud and strong
When those purchased by His blood
Lift to Him a song of love
There’s nothin’ more He’d rather hear
Nor so pleasin’ to His ear
As His favorite song of all

Holy, holy, holy is the Lamb
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I hope this song has brought a sweet time of worship to you as it has for me sitting here in the quiet of my office on the other side of your screen (well, not really just the other side, but it’s a sweet thought I think).

Oh let me give you just one more – Then Came The Morning by Signature Sound.

If these two songs don’t get a fire burning in your soul as the country folks say, ‘honey, yor wood’s wet.’
Have you considered that the Internet is a phenomenal tool for either great good or unimaginable devastation? A few keystrokes and the click of a mouse can bring to the viewing and hearing of young and old messages of salvation, hope and comfort or become a noose to strangle the life from its captives. As with numerous other ‘things’ in life, the tool is neutral,  it is the operator that determines if it will be a force for good or evil. In these days let us rally all our gifts, voices, and tools of every sort to bring the message of Christ Jesus’ salvation and hope to the young and the old.
As I post this it is 77°F and clear in Baghdad, IQ & the time there is 4:27 PM AST – on November 7, 2008
