The Preacher said on Sunday that voting is a sacred right in America and when we enter the voting booth on Tuesday, we have ONE and only ONE to whom we are accountable for the way we vote. And we will to HIM give an account for the way we vote on Tuesday.
And to the Preacher’s words I am adding this: How will one say to Jesus: “well, Lord, I have always been a democrat so that’s the way I voted. I know Your Word says abortion murders babies and I know Your Word says that homosexuality is an abomination and I know Your Word says that he who will not work, shall not eat. I know Your said all that but, Lord, I just had to vote my conscience and my conscience just did not agree with Your Word.”
Tell me, do you think that will fly at the Judgment Seat? Me neither!
Luke 6: 46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?
Matthew 12: 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
ABBA, truly the election is on my minds and truly You know the cry of my heart, the cry of the heart of each and every IDOK. And Lord, I would love for all of us to be in one accord with YOU. We can only leave the hearts of Your People for You to tend and we pray not our will but Your Will be done.
And two dear, dear ones we bring, J.Lloyd and Carolyn. Both are scheduled for surgery Monday morning and LORD we pray for successful surgeries with rapid recovery and no residual ill affects for either J.Lloyd or Carolyn. Keep the minds and hearts of families stayed on You as they wait for good words from the doctors.
Thank You for the peace and protection You have given to our IDOK Troops and thank You that we can and do continue to ask You to protect them in mind, body and spirit. We pray for courage for them and peace of mind, a steady walk and careful hands and Lord, pure hearts so they will not hold profane things before their eyes.
And Father, I pray this for us here too that You will purify our hearts so we will not hold profane things before our eyes, nor open our ears to the voices of the corrupted.
LORD, thank You so much for Sunday’s sermon, don’t let me forget it, root it and grow it for Your Own Name’s sake.
Thank You for families, especially grand-babies; for sweet songs, for growing minds and bodies. Protect our little ones from corruption and LORD arrest the behavior and words of influencing adults that are not healthy and holy toward our children.
Our list is long with many needs. It is so good to bring them to You and know that You care even more than we do about each one of them and that You are love in all that You do and all You allow.
