It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way – Second Posting

This is my second posting of this ‘lesson’.  Obviously something is amiss with WordPress and email subscriptions; Facebook is receiving the post and they are appearing there but I have heard from at least two of you that email did not arrive bearing this one the FIRST time.  I am hoping this one does.  Please let me know.  (ABBA, I am asking You to resolve this for all our IDOK subscribers.  Thank You.)

I don’t have a ‘real’ devotion for today, Wednesday, September 29, 2010; just a cry and a call to prayer.

I am so sad this afternoon and tears keep coming.  I’ve just watched the news clip via Facebook reporting the stabbing at Blount High School.  It just doesn’t have to be this way.  It just doesn’t have to.

Oh, ABBA, I am so sorry.  Please forgive.  Please have mercy. The horror that must be going on in that school.  I am so sorry.  Somehow send help.

I am so aware in these moments that all it would take to bring Peace and Safety and Health and Wholeness to this world is for people to refuse to be their own God and let JESUS be their GOD.  That’s all it would take.  Just choose JESUS, not in lip service but a real heart transformation — that’s what He does.  And He is perfect at it.

It just doesn’t have to be this way — a stabbing at Blount High School did not have to happen today.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. (Taken from here.)

But they have and this is where we are today. Prohibiting and hindering the sharing of the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST and ultimately the rejection of HIM is at the root of today’s stabbing.   It is at the root of ALL of America’s ills and woes.

LORD JESUS have mercy, forgive us and change us I pray.

FYI to Mobile, Alabama area Friends

I am posting here a portion of an email I received this morning from a dear sister regarding some Ladies who are HIGHLY recommended SITTERS.  If you or someone you know in our area needs help with a loved one, please let me know and I can pass along contact information to you.

I was wondering if you or do you know of anyone that needs sitters.  Pam Rogers can only sit at night.  Kim can work TuesDAY and ThursDAY anytime, and after twelve on Mon, Wed, and Fri. plus weekends.  She is funny and will WORK (cleaning, bathing, cooking, etc.)   Dallas is good with keeping up with health issues…not good with cleaning but will cook and wash clothes.  They all make a good team.  What one doesn’t do the other will.  They all are dependable, as far as being there on time and not taking off much.   Ask around and let me know.    Thanks!  Elaine

Hope you are REMEMBERING FIVE this morning.

Holy hugs, kt
