Making Plans

IDOK Greeting for Tuesday, December 28, 2010

I’ve decided that when my beloved retires it will be like having 6 Saturdays a week!! Great for playing and a total challenge for productivity!

What’s prompting this? He’s off this week and we have been ‘playing’ all day; even went to see the new Narnia movie in 3D.  I so dearly love C. S. Lewis! Take this as a word of encouragement to go see the movie before it leaves the area.

So are ya’ll making plans for 2011? I have all sorts of  ‘could do(s)’, and ‘hope to do(s)’ whirling around in my head. First thing is I want to do a whole lot more praying, studying, watch-caring and playing.

I have books lined up back to back to read and sewing projects stacked here and there with more imagined — some even promised.

I’ve walked through the house into every room and invited JESUS afresh and anew to make HIS PRESENCE known and felt in every room.

And with all these plans, all these good intentions … that’s just what they’ll be INTENTIONS unless I begin practicing today and you know what? I did!! I hope you did too.

Psalm 20:3-5 (New American Standard Bible)
3May He remember all your meal offerings
And find your burnt offering acceptable! Selah.
4May He grant you your heart’s desire
And fulfill all your counsel!
5We will sing for joy over your victory,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners
May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.

ABBA, thank You for the plans You have for us that they are good and for our welfare. Thank You that Your Word confirms and guides us. Thank You for the love and protection You have lavished upon us today and for the peace and rest we will yet receive. I ask You to comfort and bless, rest and restore Your People.  Thank You for each one listed at Praying for These and our IDOK Troops, we entrust each one to You in JESUS NAME.  Amen and amen.

Jeremiah 29:11 (New International Version, ©2010)11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Holy hugs, kt

We may do more ‘greetings’ this week than lesson writing but The LORD knows!! Love and hugs!!
