JESUS and Jenny

I want to share with something that has blessed me this morning.

More than a month ago, we were privileged to pray for Jenny. Jenny is 14. Four and a half weeks ago Jenny had brain surgery to remove a tumor, and a subsequent surgery to remove a big blood clot from her brain.  The initial surgery was after months of severe headaches and nausea.  (Janet) We are talking debilitating headaches — meds and doctors could not relieve.

This is today’s report to me from her grandmother and with her permission I am sharing it with you:

Today’s IDOK reminds me so much of our sweet Jenny.  She smiles constantly, and laughs and giggles at herself when she says the wrong word.  She tried to say flip flops and she just couldn’t get it out but she kept saying it until she got it right, giggling at herself the whole time.  She is an amazing child.  I asked her if she ever has an unkind thought and she said, “Not since surgery.”  She is so very thankful to be alive and not have the headaches.  Only God knows how close we came to losing her.  She is an inspiration to us all.
Have a blessed day.
Love you,
Janet

And my partial reply to Janet was this: “Oh this blesses me so! I wonder what eternally effecting plan HE has for her. What a precious time. To be so in His presence that your flesh just shuts up! Oh what a gift!”

Oh, ABBA, I pray to humble myself that I may live in Your Presence and experience my own flesh do a holy shut up!

As Janet said, “Have a blessed day!!”

One Psalm to Ponder

Psalm 126 (New International Version, ©2011)
1 When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.
2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”
3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
4 Restore our fortunes, LORD, like streams in the Negev.
5 Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
6 Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.
via Ps 126 – Passage Lookup – New International Version, ©2011 – BibleGateway.com.

When life was so good their lives were like a dream, their mouths were filled with laughter, their tongues with songs of joy. Folks all around noticed and said The LORD has done great things for them. And they replied The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.

So has He? And are we?

PRAYING FOR THESE

You have done great things for us LORD; please fill our mouths with laughter and our tongues with songs of joy and words of praise. Teach us to measure our words; measure them so they will exalt You and encourage others. Teach us to weigh our words so they will edify our hearers. And, HOLY SPIRIT, remind us quickly and convict us sharply when we are quick to hurt and condemn others. Help us ponder well. And I am reminded in this moment of Your Awesomeness, I have seen You change hearts that I thought were stone and now Your love flows freely from them.  Oh praise You Sweet JESUS.  Thank You. Thank You.  There are more to be healed; we pray and we wait and we trust You. Amen and amen in Your Holy Name, LORD JESUS.

Blessed to Bless,
Kathie
