A Murky Cup

I poured dark rich tea into a hunter green cup and I sat down on the porch swing to enjoy. And then I saw this weed and that weed much too alive and well in the ginger lily bed.

Pulling weeds one-handed can be done but not as effectively as with two, so the porch rail accommodated my cup. And when I was finished with the weeds, scaredy cat that I am, pondered my cup — shall I drink it, shall I not?  Standing in the shade I thought . . . maybe not. But in full sun, my answer was yes I shall.

You see, with enough light even the contents of a murky cup can be seen — all the way to the bottom.

Matthew 26: (Amplified Bible)
39And going a little farther, He threw Himself upon the ground on His face and prayed saying, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will [not what I desire], but as You will and desire.

At the bottom of the cup HE saw you and HE saw me and HE said YES I will drink it.

Blessed to bless,
