Soup’s On

I am giving thanks today for more than I am going to innumerate here. I am a delighted woman. 

Potatoes. 
Yes. I am grateful for potatoes for soup. 
I had leftover chicken and all the other fixings for chicken pot pie soup – no crust. :)
I was chopping and throwing veggies in the pot and thought I need a potato.  I have no potatoes. Who wants to go to the store for 2 potatoes? But JT said he would and as he was leaving the drive – Misfits arrived.  Potatoes! Along with other veggies! 

Soup’s on! 

And later there will be roasted brussel sprouts.
Oh my, are they good with a little olive oil, onions, and carrots, a little spice, and roasted just right! 

We have so many reasons to give thanks. 

Psalm 37:  (CJB) 25 I have been young; now I am old; yet not once have I seen the righteous abandoned
or his descendants begging for bread.
26 All day long he is generous and lends, and his descendants are blessed.

27 If you turn from evil and do good, you will live safely forever.
28 For Adonai loves justice and will not abandon his faithful; they are preserved forever. But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.  source

 

And all GOD’s People said Amen.

Sweet, Juicy, Delicious

A bag of fruit and the love that prompted the friend to share – that’s worth the giving of Thanks, wouldn’t you agree? 

And not just any fruit; a bag of Satsumas grown in his very own yard.

Sweet, juicy, and delicious.  

11 God said, “Let the earth put forth grass, seed-producing plants, and fruit trees, each yielding its own kind of seed-bearing fruit, on the earth”; and that is how it was. 12 The earth brought forth grass, plants each yielding its own kind of seed, and trees each producing its own kind of seed-bearing fruit; and God saw that it was good.  source

That plan that The Father set in motion obviously continues to work. 
Plant those good seeds for a good harvest. 

Give your Wednesday a chance to shine – give thanks.

Two Little Furry Faces

Blue skies, comfortable temp, goats that bleat, hens that cluck and lay, two little furry faces that look up at you with pure affection, untarnished forestry, and hours of easy conversation with bone of your bone and flesh of your flesh; it is for these things I offer thanks today. 

Creation and the company of people we love are true gifts from The Father of Heaven who loves us. 
Amazing. 

Give thanks today, Friends. 
We have innumerable reasons to praise and offer thanks to our Creator. 

Psalm 118 NKJV  24 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. source

 

And this verse as I took it out of context we often do. Even out of context it is encouraging and we quote it to help us on days, not like today. Do you know what I mean?

But let us look at it in context. 

21 I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation.

22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.
23 This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. source 

 

He answered our cry for deliverance. He became our salvation. 
How did He do that? 
The stone the builders rejected became the chief cornerstone.
And Who is this Chief Cornerstone? 
None other than Our Blessed LORD YESHUA – JESUS CHRIST the Righteous. ( See 1 Peter 2)

Yes, indeed this IS the LORD’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes!
That HE would save wretches like us! 
The DAY the Cornerstone became sin for us and died on the Execution Stake and AROSE from DEATH on the 3rd day. 
OH YES! WE rejoice in that day that ONLY The LORD could make! 
We rejoice for that DAY every day. Amen and amen! 

Now go about this day giving thanks for THE DAY!
