We repeat it day after day, each day is closely related, doing the same things. We eat, we sleep, we go to jobs, we do jobs at home, we eat, we sleep, and the cycle repeats. On occasions, vacations come along and our cycle gets a little wall-eyed but it’s still a cycle. More often than not we like our cycles. We want them to go on and on, especially with those we love who cycle with us. Some cycles have more rounds than others and as the cycles increase we wonder how few or more we have remaining.
It is appointed unto man once to die and then comes the judgment of how we have managed our cycle.
Hebrews 9:27-28 King James Version 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
I came across this on Facebook and just have to preserve it here for our edification.
No complaints here. . .
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7
I have a picture and some words. Be careful who you listen to. Let us have the courage to reject the counsel or conversations of a friend, co-worker, or even family when they speak words that we have not confirmed as truth.
See my note: Wars start with words.
Perhaps you will read 2 Samuel 10 and see for yourself what I am saying here: confirm for yourself.
We should always do that. Confirm the Truth.
I am continuing to read from Genesis to maps. It continues to be the most happy read for me. I have attempted multiple times to read the Bible through, one book after another in successive order as preserved for us, and this is the first time I have reached 2 Samuel. This is a sweet journey for me. I urge you not to wait till you are as old as I am to take this journey yourself.
Some days will be sweeter than others but all days reading The Word are better.
David.
He asked questions of The LORD and The LORD answered. He went in and sat before The LORD.
I made a note in the margin: teach me how to come and sit before You.
The Bible.
We are so fortunate to have it! To have it and to have the ability to read! What a glorious privilege! Let us not squander or ignore these magnificent gifts for trivial amusements.
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
