Gleanings

Tomorrow, LORD willing,  I will be moving into the reading of Joshua.
Today was the finish of Deuteronomy.  I am grateful for the gleanings.

I have a picture and a few questions for you. img_1731-1
Do you see what was the sin that prevented Moses from setting foot onto the Promised Land? Aaron too for that matter, but Aaron died even earlier than did Moses.  What else do you see? Do you read Scripture with a mind open to hear what HOLY SPIRIT has to say to you? I hope so. That is my hope too, for myself, and so far this year has been the best in recent memory.
May I encourage you, please, to READ SCRIPTURE.

Until next time,
Holy hugs, Kathie img_1715

Contemplating

I am thinking of children as I read Deuteronomy 31:12 and 13.

12Assemble the people—men, women, children, and the foreigners within your gates—so that they may listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and to follow carefully all the words of this law. 13Then their children who do not know the law will listen and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”  source

IMG_3204-2127318746Children left alone to find GOD alone is most sad to me and I think GOD is not pleased with parents who adopt the way of the evil one to not influence their children to choose GOD; who do not study Scripture for themselves,  nor intentionally and consistently read and impart Scripture to their children. I think this from the verses above.

Imperatively what does Scripture teach us that GOD wants?

See you next time, Holy hugs, Kathie
