Genesis 2:16Then Adonai Elohim commanded the man saying, “From all the trees of the garden you are most welcome to eat.source
Did I read that right? Yep. All the trees of the garden you are MOST WELCOME to eat. Just think of it. All! Most Welcome! But that was not enough once they were deceived by Satan. But wait!
Today, if we don’t give ear to the devil the all we have is enough and we find we are most grateful that we are most welcome. This feels good on my soul. I think I’ll wear it! 😍
On my way to somewhere else I stopped by Genesis 15 today.
Verse 1.
After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.source Genesis 15:1.
Fear not He said. I am your shield and your exceeding great reward. Exceeding great. Not just some ordinary great but exceeding great reward. He indeed is!
And then verse 6.
6 And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.source
And he believed the Lord!
Do we get that? He BELIEVED the Lord!
You know what occurs to me? Believing the Lord is an exceeding great reward! The gift of believing God is bigger than my vocabulary!
