I THINK WHAT IS WRITTEN IN MY JOURNEY MAGAZINE IS BETTER THAN ANYTHING I COULD WRITE TO YOU FOR OUR TUESDAY TIME TOGETHER. AND IT READS AS FOLLOWS:

“When you hear from God, there will be a sense of peace that comes along with His words. Even when He points out our sin or brings us conviction, He does it out of a heart of love. Always test to see if what you’re hearing is consistent with God’s character and if it produces the kind of fruit that comes from His Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). If a shameful, hateful feeling comes along with what you hear, reject it. That’s not coming from God (see Jeremiah 31:3 and Romans 5:5).

What if you can’t turn off your brain when you’re waiting to hear from God? What if your thoughts keep whirling around? What if you don’t hear anything from God when you’re sitting and listening? It’s absolutely OK. Actually, there might be a lot of days that you don’t hear from Him even when you’re listening. Let go of the pressure that says you have to hear from Him right now or things aren’t right in your relationship with Him. Things are fine. You are His. Rest your heart there.

The enemy will try to make you think you’re light-years away from God. That’s because the enemy doesn’t want you to hear from God, and if he can make you feel like a spiritual failure, he will. He wants you to live in guilt and shame. But be persistent in your pursuit of God. Keep taking time and getting quiet with Him. God is there. He is listening. And He has things that He wants to tell you.

GOD SPEAKS in different ways. He might speak to you through His Word as you read it later. He might speak exactly what you need to hear through the words of a friend or a sermon or the lyrics of a song. When you think He’s speaking to you, ask Him to confirm it. Once He confirms what He has said, receive what He is telling you.

STEPS OF FAITH
Lord, Your Word says that when I cry out to You, You will hear, because You are compassionate (Exodus 22:27). Thank You for hearing me when I call.

PRAYING FOR THESE

ABBA, I invite you to tend us this morning. Karen, my friend, comes to mind so I bring her to You trusting You to do for her what she cannot do for herself and to raise her up to higher in You than she has ever dreamed. And as others come to pray here perhaps they will say Yes LORD me too and I agree.  Me too, ABBA.  And Elaine, she is a blessing to me and many; I pray You will raise her up to minister to more and more and complete her recovery. Jenny, Julee, Bridgett, Cameron and Sonny and these are just a few — the list is long; thank You for taking note of each one in JESUS Name. Amen and amen.

I have some real sinus issues going on this morning, so I’m home and my beloved is teaching our Sunday School class solo (humanly speaking) this morning; and I am ever so grateful for this laptop.
