Abba, more and more corruption is being questioned and suspected to have been committed by the governmental bodies of America; I am concerned about it; I care about it. It is serious to me. I am here interceding and asking You to get all up in America’s corruption business; to expose and deal with the perpetrators, the conspirators, the enablers, those abetting and those refusing to tell the truth.  I know You are merciful; I know You do not desire any human to perish not even these I am bringing to You now.  For Your own Name sake I am asking You to pour out Your Holy Spirit of conviction and repentance. Neither do I want these people to perish; my spirit would soar with elation if they would come to repentance and come clean with You and we the people; yet they will never do this without Your mercy and grace; without Your convicting power upon them and so for this I am asking You to show Your Mighty Hand.

I’m so glad You are not neutral, Father. I’m so glad You take sides and thank You that I get to take sides too; I pray the side I take will consistently be the side You take – Righteousness. That neither family, friend, or foe will influence or convince me to side with evil whether it involves choices in music, movies, clothing, toys, food, drink, entertainment, politics, morality, life, death, or all things surrounding this earthly journey. Thank You for Your Word that reveals Righteousness relative to all things. You have left nothing out. You have left nothing for us to figure out on our own; You tell us. Thank You. 

I believe the choice I have made for November is as right as can be made given our choices. And personally, I’d like for millions and millions of people to make that same choice but I can’t choose for them and neither will You. Free choice is an amazing gift You have given us. I am glad You did. Life gets hard when we the people make wrong choices; even so, I am grateful for Your gift of free will.  All I know to ask is that people be willing to make the right choice. This I know if more wrong choices are made than right choices we the people will suffer but You will be faithful to Your people. So in You, I rest. You are not neutral in these choices You are asking us to make, I pray we choose You. 

Thank You, Abba, for food, music, laughter and friends all in one evening. Thank You for manual labor and a sense of accomplishment; for flowers and breezes and wind chimes. You made a lovely world for us to inhabit. Thank You for Your Word that is more update that tomorrow’s breaking news. And as this evening is waning and not much media has reached my ears it’s been refreshing. Thank You that You never sleep and You are always present, always with us. 

Abba, I am learning more and more that America has had many heroes in her distant and some not so distant past. That reading and learning or maybe some re-learning, has brought me here today to ask You to again raise up Statesmen who will stand uncompromisingly to defend and preserve the Founding Documents and Liberties that I am confident You inspired for Your Glory and the proclamation of the Gospel of Your Dear Son. I am in awe of Your mercy; we have so corrupted Your world and yet You love us and continue to call us to Yourself.

I thank You that You have through honorable people preserved not only Your Word for us but historical events through various documents and media, victories and even defeats that we may learn. Thank You for honest historians, please let not that calling die. Please ensure the safe keeping of truth for all generations to come.

I am rightly alarmed I think with the state of the world and particularly with this Land. Sometimes I am flabbergasted at the raw ignorance of simple human decency and then I am reminded that man without You is depraved. But with You all things become new. You make life worth living; You bring peace and purpose; You bring wisdom and will to make good choices and wise decisions. You just flat-out make life livable with laughing out loud fun and then when hard and bitter things happen You make it bearable; You even redeem it and help others with it when we trust You with it. All this I know because I have seen You do this for me and many others. So I am praying now for this redemption message to be lived out and spoken out and for others to come to know You and love You. Educate us and raise up heroes in this time for Jesus Name Sake I pray.
