Not So!

Reading Proverbs 12 today.  First verse: discipline. The fourth source today that ABBA has used to place discipline before me.  I have a list; three distinct areas we are addressing, but that’s not up for discussion before the WWW. :)

Moving on with the Proverb. Wickedness. Wicked people. People who practice wickedness. Media outlets give us abundant examples. And we (I) lament over their behaviors, especially when again and again the adversary suggests to me their deeds are going unpunished, unchecked, just flat-out running rampant with no end in sight.

And today I can now shout to my soul NOT SO! Not so they are not getting away with it! Not even in the here and now.

A good man obtains Adonai’s favor,
but the schemer his condemnation. source

All of us can read that word schemer and can substitute a name or two, or many names. And our blood can begin to boil. Mine has on many, many broadcast occasions; but the HOLY SPIRIT, I believe, has spoken to me today. I am convicted and comforted.

The Schemers of this world are not getting away with their lies. The Schemers of this day are not going unpunished, even today.

GOD’s condemnation is upon them right now, this very day. Today they are not going unpunished. Today they are not getting away with their evil. Today they are under His watchful eye that does not miss a thing.

Let me say it again: The Schemers are being brought to bear justice even today.

And while there is time, I get to pray.
I get to pray today that The Schemers will be granted mercy to accept the gift of repentance when the HOLY SPIRIT offers that holy gift to them.

Sobering. Isn’t it?

Our souls. My soul is brought to peace, again. And today I must discipline myself to stay here!

Until then ~ ~ ~ Kathie
The Blood of Jesus is Enough

No sin goes unpunished.
Either we bear it or JESUS does for us; and we get to choose Who does the bearing.

26 (b)

From hence forth I will be using the word whore, shall we say in a wiser manner.

Proverbs 6:26 The price of a whore is a loaf of bread,
but the adulteress is hunting for a precious life. source

Have you seen the Movie, Pretty Woman? Vivian was a prostitute. And it was her practice to keep it strictly business – pay your loaf of bread and be on your way.

And to think all these years we have used the word whore to denote the worst of the worst. I am rethinking that. Here’s why.

But the adulteress is hunting for a precious life.

She’s not looking for a loaf of bread; she’s looking to shut down the bakery and put it under new management! She’s looking for lives (and families) to devour.

Adultery. It is far, far worse than we in this 21st Century have let ourselves believe.

Yes. I have a new perspective.

There are Vivian(s) in this world; some are lured into it by various and multiple means, some are abducted and enslaved into it, but they all have this in common: JESUS wants to rescue them! He loves them with the purest love they have yet to know.

And there are 26 (b) women in this world: adulteresses. Somehow to me now it is even less becoming a word than whore. Even so, JESUS wants to rescue! Even so, JESUS has a pure and holy love for us all: Vivian(s),  26 (b)s, and the Mary Jane(s), the Susie(s), the Girls Next Door.  All of us! JESUS CAME for US! In whatever pit of sin we are found; and we all have our pits. JESUS came to save sinners! And that my Friends covers us all!

See Romans 3:22-24

It’s GOOD NEWS! Spread it! It’s better than butter on bread! :)

Abundantly Poor

I have understood these verses to mean that he/she who is too lazy to get out of bed will come to poverty. And I believe that to be true. Couch potatoes or bed dwellers (by choice) generally do not prosper with houses and lands; cars, boats or trucks either.

Lazybones! How long will you lie there in bed?
When will you get up from your sleep?
10 “I’ll just lie here a bit, rest a little longer,
just fold my hands for a little more sleep” —
11 and poverty comes marching in on you,
scarcity hits you like an invading soldier. source

Yet there is another poverty that comes when we tap the snooze button again and again, morning after morning.

Poverty of Spirit.

When we love the bed (notwithstanding illnesses and much-needed resting feasts) more than we love fellowship with our Heavenly Father in prayer and in His Word, we are indeed poor. I say this because until recently I had become abundantly poor. Scarcity hits you like an invading soldier — indeed!
