Indeed! May we have the sense to follow His commands.
The following verses in Psalm 119, I think, add layers to our understanding of our featured verse. Like this: 75I know, O LORD, that your regulations are fair; you disciplined me because I needed it. And, 77Surround me with your tender mercies so I may live, for your instructions are my delight.source
When we know He disciplines us because we need it and when His instructions are our delight, we will follow His commands.
The LORD is merciful from generation to generation. Legacy matters to the third and fourth generation, and perhaps even beyond. Know this: GOD can step into any generation and transform lives. However, it is good to give Him something to work with if we want to see our children’s children walk in holiness. Without parental Biblical diligence and a circumspect walk with the LORD, the children slip further from Scriptural living with each generation. It’s serious, Folks. Most serious.
