One Day Late

World Evangelism Praying has come home this month to the USA and settled in a place, for what reason I do not know.

Enid, Oklahoma

The WEB holds much information about Enid. I invite you to pray with me for the people of Enid, OK.

For a one stop, learn a lot web page about Enid, click HERE.

For the City’s official web page, click HERE. I looked pretty closely but did not see a word to direct visitors or new residents to a church. Although there are many churches in Enid.

Will you join with me in praying for Enid, OK, each Thursday (Friday, this week) in the month of February?

If you are interested in other World Evangelism Places for which we have spent time praying, please click HERE.

There are prayers to pray! Praying (PFT) is breathing for Christians!

Get your LANTERN and RIDE,

Palembang, Indonesia

I am continuing my World Evangelism Prayer effort here in 2012.

For the month of January, Palembang, Indonesia is my focus.

How about a little info on Palembang? (click HERE to visit the site from which the excerpt below was taken.)

Palembang is the capital city of South Sumatra Province in Indonesia. Palembang is one of the oldest cities in Indonesia with a lot of history as a capital of a maritime empire. Located on the Musi River banks on the east coast of southern Sumatra island, it has an area of 400.61 square kilometres and a population of 1,441,500. Palembang is the second-largest city in Sumatra after Medan and the seventh-largest city in Indonesia. The city will host the 26th edition of Southeast Asian Games in November 11, 2011 along with Jakarta.

One million, four hundred forty-one thousand, five hundred people! And the majority of them are not Christian. I think my prayers will not be wasted. Neither would yours be if you would join me here in the month of January to pray however the HOLY SPIRIT leads you for this densely populated place occupied mostly with people given to Islam.

To read about Palembang’s arts and culture, click HERE. Within the tabs (pages) of that URL address you will find a plethora of information.

My heart was made tender when I read of Mercy Relief and the work they are doing there for special needs children. Click HERE to read.

There is much more Palembang information in web land to be explored but I will close this post mentioning Ken Raggio. It seems he is passionate to encourage and enlist the people of Palembang to study The Bible, to come to know JESUS CHRIST as Savior and LORD.  Click HERE to visit his webpage.

I hope many of you will join me praying for the people of Palembang, Indonesia.

Solomon Islands

As I looked at the world map this morning, I was drawn to Solomon Islands. I came to my laptop and began to explore. Early in the exploration I questioned why Solomon Islands. It’s people mass is so large, all the others have been tiny. The establishment of Christianity seems widespread.

Perhaps this YouTube gives a clue about why it is important for me to pray for Solomon Islands – perhaps you will join me for this month of December.

And for more information, please at least give a glance to the article at THIS LINK. It was new information for me (but not for my beloved – He knows so much about the world! And me? Well, I dare not tell you how little geography/world political science I have retained). The more I continue with this World Evangelism Praying the more I think, ‘yes, this is a GOD THING for me here’. I NEED the education!

So I am curious. Any of you out there taking a look at my World Evangelism Praying Places? :) And are you joining me on Thursdays to pray? Just wondering.

If you would like to refresh your memory of earlier places, choose and click.

Rabbits (Svalbard, Norway)

Day 17 – Rabbits

1 Corinthians 2: New American Standard Bible (NASB)
14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
via 1 Corinthians 2:13-15 NASB – which things we also speak not in words – Bible Gateway.

I could have titled this differently as it is not technically rabbits for which I am thankful. Not that I have anything against rabbits, you understand.

I suppose it has been close to half an hour now that I had a chest-heaving case of hiccups. You know the kind, so strong that your chest hurts every time you hiccup. I admit it, it sounds foolish but thus far it has worked every time. My hubby counts rabbits with me and my hiccups go away.

It works like this: One rabbit. Two rabbits. Three rabbits. But there is a catch – you have to say rabbits like Elmer Fudd. One wabbit. Two wabbits. Three wabbits. It did not take many wabbits and it was bye-bye hiccups.

Wabbits and hiccups – foolishness? Perhaps. But my hiccups are gone.

The Gospel foolish to the natural man? Perhaps. But my sins are gone and Heaven is my home. Sometimes it pays to look foolish.

One wabbit. Two wabbits. Three wabbits.
