IDOK DEVOTION FOR TUESDAY, MARCH 3, 2009

Monday was fun. It included two important errands for Bev and I went along for the ride and in between we had time for a stop at a local bookstore which is always trouble for Bev and me, especially at the Bargain Table and the ‘soup’ at a nearby ‘Bread’ Store was terrific and then after supper here at home two 1940 black and white movies topped off the evening. Play days with friends are GOOD! Godly friends in your life are a blessing. Give thanks today for your godly friends that you laugh with, shop with, watch movies with and praise The LORD with. Christian Friends! What a blessing!

And speaking of godly friends. My Dear IDOKs thank you! Many of you I have not personally met but even so Jesus makes you dear friends to me. From time to time as I am given the privilege to see you face and face and it has not failed yet, Jesus gives us instant godly bonding. Thank you for being there and here with me.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 And though a man might prevail against him who is alone, two will withstand him. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.

John 11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. [They were His dear friends, and He held them in loving esteem.]

Amen and amen.

Prayer request: Dear prayer partners, I got this from Melinda H, my friend and prayer partner, in Tennessee. Her dear friend, Mike, (and his wife Vickie) are facing an uphill battle against cancer. He is participating in a new drug trial and it has been very difficult and painful. Please keep them in your prayers as they go through this. Thank you for being so faithful to pray. Love, Mabel

ABBA, I am grateful for these days with my sister-friend. Thank You. You are wise, loving and kind as You bring friends into our lives. And I pray we will be mindful of each friend You have given and I pray we will be true friends to one another. I ask You for traveling mercies for each and every IDOK that may be traveling today, keep them safe and guarded as only You can. And I pray for Claudia today as she attends Doug; You know the needs there and I pray for strength for both of them to receive Your strength and blessings today. And we pray for Mike and Vickie. Stick close to them we pray, draw them into Your fellowship for strength and courage and healing we pray. You know June is their 30th anniversary month, give them the best celebration together this year they have ever had we pray. There are many others too listed here that we are privileged to bring to You. We see some of the things that concern them, we know the things that concern us for them but YOU LORD care the most, You LORD love them more than all of us put together and so we know You are entering into the lives of each of them to love them, restore them, guide and protect and give abundant joy and we pray each will receive from You today all that You have for them. I pray that every IDOK will receive today from You what You desire to give. I think You have much more to give us than we have yet opened up ourselves to You to receive. LORD help us comprehend that You are our greatest, dearest and best FRIEND. And I don’t want to exclude You from anything that I participate in this day. I am welcoming You into every moment of this day; I want You in every moment; I want You to SHINE in every dark corner of this world in which I live; and in every dark corner of my own heart SHINE and clean it up I pray. Oh yes we cannot fail to specifically pray for our IDOK Troops, those on foreign soil and those here at home, keep them safe in mind and body and spirit we pray. Protect and promote Israel as You will in this time; give we the American People grace and space to repent and Holy Spirit, revive the Church for Jesus sake. Amen and amen. A SPECIFIC UNSPOKEN.
