This is what I have heard this morning:
Government shut down if Democrats and Republicans do not get together on cutting government spending.
Projection of $6.00 a gallon for gasoline
Projection of Skyrocketing food prices — even shortages
Green – Green – Green — we have to go green — CO2 is causing global warming
CO2 is carbon dioxide causes plants to grow which cools the earth and feeds the population
We have enough oil and gas to supply with ease — but we can’t drill — politics
Who do we believe? And what do we do?
2 Chronicles 7: (21st Century King James Version)
13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land or if I send pestilence among My people,
14 if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
15 Now Mine eyes shall be open and Mine ears attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place.

Pray. Pray. Pray. And see to it that you (and me) are not caught up in the insatiable greed and lust for power that is fueling this unrest and instability in our world.
Par down. Slim down. Give more. Save up. Look up.
Luke 21: (21st Century King James Version)
28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh.”

Psalm 37: (21st Century King James Version)
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread.

Malachi 3: (21st Century King James Version)
8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed Me! But ye say, `Wherein have we robbed Thee?’ In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse; for ye have robbed Me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and put Me to the proof now herewith,” saith the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open to you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field,” saith the LORD of hosts.
12 “And all nations shall call you blessed, for ye shall be a delightsome land,” saith the LORD of hosts.

My ole Grandaddy who was the most conservative man I ever met would be 111 now. My grandmother broke her arm and their sons put running water in the house. When she died, my grandfather took it out. He said you appreciate water more when you draw it from a well. He said when hard times come, you can’t save up enough. If you do and your neighbor sees you fat, he will come to your house and kill you for the food. Oh he did store up, but he said the best defense was to pray and trust God.
Just what you are saying.
Christians rise up and show the world our God’s Love. We have only two missions while here on this earth, to love God and to love people. Imagine how much this world would change if it was full of people who love God and each other. Let it start with you and me!
Amen!
That is the key to healing the ills of this world.
