Sharing is Caring!

This is too good, too needed, to not share with you all from Today’s Marriage Prayer website.  Spouses, children, siblings, friends — you name the relationship; this is a must for healthy, holy people!

Marriage Prayer for May 30: teach us to love those who hurt us.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please teach us to love those who hurt us. It’s easy to love the ones who are kind and the ones who are gentle, but the challenge comes when we’re called to love in difficult times.

Some days it feels as though we don’t have the strength to love in a way that is pleasing to You, but You have taught us differently. You loved us before we loved You.

Guide our steps. Give us the strength to love as You do–with kindness, forgiveness, compassion, and grace.

Teach us to pray for them, Lord. Remind us to get down on our knees, leave our pain at the foot of Your throne, and rest in the knowledge that You’re working on our behalf.

In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you. – 2 Chronicles 20:15–17, KJV

He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’” – 2 Chronicles 20:15-17, NIV

Garden Beds

Perhaps, I should have known but I’m either inexperienced or woefully out of practice. I planted cucumbers and squash apparently in too close proximity.  As you can see the squash have heavily influenced the cucumbers.

Life Lesson: Choose carefully with whom you share a bed; the forces of nature are more powerful than you think.

A bed. Time. Elbow to Elbow. You know. Life!

1 Corinthians 15:33  (TLV) 33 Do not be deceived! “Bad company corrupts good morals.” source

Disclaimer: this is not to say my cucumbers or squash are bad, you know. You are tracking with me, right? 🙂

Just Being Real

Joshua 24: 14 “So fear the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone.
15 But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” source

Please allow me to paraphrase this KWT style.

A public expression of faith in JESUS CHRIST (Adonai YESHUA) signals to the kingdom of darkness to place an extra bullseye square on your head and the heads of your children and grandchildren, even great-grandchildren. So, let me give you a word of counsel — for your sake and the sake of all those you love, either get all in or get all out with this spiritual warfare! The stakes are too high to mess around with this Christianity.

The bottom line is each and every one of us is already in one camp (Light or darkness) or the other; today is the day to make your election sure.

It’s time to choose, and our daily behaviors  give a preponderance of evidence which we have chosen.  I’m just being real here with you, Folks.

May the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD convict and convince you and me to daily choose JESUS.

I’m a day late offering the latest by Steven Furtick here but it is by no means late! Any time you hear/watch this sermon it will be timely.  He is still in Mark and this is so timely for me! Mark 6:48 in particular.

Mark 6:48 (CSB) 48 He saw them straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Very early in the morning he came toward them walking on the sea and wanted to pass by them. source

The dress was beautiful. And I understand the ceremony was unlike any other Royal Wedding. The pomp and circumstance were thrilling; folks got all gussied up. Yes, YouTube gave me a glimpse after all was said and done. And I’m glad I got to take in a bit of the splendor. And I’m  not here to rain on any one’s parade but I would like to add some perspective.

Revelation 19: Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,

For the Lord our God
    the Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and exult
    and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
    and his Bride has made herself ready;
it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”—

for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.

And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”source

Now THIS is a wedding YOU don’t want to miss! And if you think today was splendid and beautiful and elegant and on and on with those descriptive words: Honey, you ain’t seen nothing yet!”

Your Invitation has been sent. Have you opened it? RSVP is required.
