For The First Time

I heard the words of the hymn It Came Upon the Midnight Clear for the first time today.  Of course, it was not my first time hearing the song, but it was the first time I actually heard the words. Heard and saw in my spirit something of what they really mean.

I would love to read these words to you and for you to hear what I heard today. For you to see those peaceful wings unfurled. Peaceful, unfurled – not for war, not in wrath, but in peace. GOD’s peace, still coming to us if only we would receive Him.

There’s more. So much more!

Ye men of strife . . .  hear the angels sing.

Over and over, the words tell the Gospel Story. The story of man at war with man and the cry of heaven for man to hear, to hear the Gospel and believe.

And then the final stanza that speaks of His return for that golden time when He will restore ALL that was lost — Ancient Splendors Fling.

I ask you to please hear the words, open your mind and your heart to hear Holy Spirit, allow Him to use this song to deepen your trust, your love, and affection, for The GODMAN like never before!

Holy hugs, Kathie

Bucket Tree

It’s the Saturday before the 25th, that day in December when the world celebrates the Savior.

But I did not come here today to bemoan or applaud the day, just to hopefully catch your attention and say hello.  You know, since I’m not usually here at the screen on the weekends.

I took this picture this morning. It speaks to me. I can remember just a few short seasons ago, this Bradford Pear was sitting in a bucket waiting for room to grow.
I am mindful that with time and nutrition, almost all things grow. I believe that. Do you?

Time is time. We all have some allotted time, and we all have access to the greatest of nutrition, don’t we?
Scripture, of course!
How’s your appetite?
Growing like a bucket tree set free?

Happy Saturday, late afternoon Saturday!

Holy hugs, Kathie
