Day 21

Day 21 of The Giving of Thanks

Fresh Berry Cobbler.
And I say that even before I taste it. I am trusting it will be tasty. Other cobblers have been all these years. That simple little few ingredient recipe. The same one that Little Girl would stand in the kitchen and wait for it to cool just enough to eat it, many years ago. I think she still would – it’s vegan. ūüôā

Happy Saturday, my Friends.

Genesis 1:11 (NLT)¬†11¬†Then God said, ‚ÄúLet the land sprout with vegetation‚ÄĒevery sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.‚ÄĚ And that is what happened. source

John 15:5  (NKJV) 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. source

Galatians 5:22-26 (NKJV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. source

Revelation 22:2 (TLV) 2 down the middle of the city’s street. On either side of the river was a tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. source

I Noticed a Notice

May I have your attention for a few words? Perhaps more than a few.

I have been reading a really good book this morning. Perhaps more on that later. I opened my Facebook account to share a picture of the book cover and to comment on my enjoyment in just the first 50 pages.  When the pic loaded I noticed a notice from Facebook.
Oddly, I’m not angry. I am saddened and I am alerted afresh and I think you should be too. Alerted to prayer. Alerted to seek The LORD. To seek HIM for how HE wants us to navigate these hostile waters which are swiftly rising. And y’all I don’t know how to swim.

Facebook Community labeled my post hate speech.
My post was a Scripture Pic that I made with my YouVersion App this morning from Galatians 3:1.
I added my own caption as well: O foolish Americans, who has bewitched you about FAITH and Fear and law and SPIRIT and GOOD and evil?

Upon review, Facebook has determined despite my objection that it is hate speech and they will not allow it to be seen on my Facebook feed.

So, I decided to bring it to you here at The White Stone in hopes I might be able to alert you and encourage you to take even more seriously your study of Scripture; to love it, to hold it dear, and share it with others. You know and I know that Father’s Word is not hate speech but obviously others do not.¬† Let’s help them!

Wait, Listen, Watch, Learn

Paul in Galatians.

Chapter 1.
Quick points.
From his SAVING Damascus Road encounter with YESHUA he went to Arabia for training; not from man but The Spirit of GOD Himself trained and taught Saul\Paul. Three (3) years he stayed in Arabia learning, listening, waiting.  Then he returned to Damascus for a time. We are not told how long.

From Damascus, he went to Jerusalem to see Peter. He spent 15 days with Peter. He also saw James, the LORD’s half brother – same Mother, not the same Father.¬† YESHUA knows about blended families. ūüôā

From there he went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. The Churches of Judea in Christ there had heard of Saul, they didn’t know him by face, only his former reputation. A fierce persecutor of Christians, The Way. BUT. They gave him a chance. They waited. They listened. They watched. And they glorified God in him. How great is that?!

Cleaning

I posted this to Facebook today and if I may, I’d like to expound:
Have we considered this crisis among other things to be an imperative opportunity of learning GOD is offering us going forward to live CLEANER lives: physically, emotionally AND SPIRITUALLY?

Let me begin with emotionally. Would not GOD want us to live cleaner emotionally? Would He not want us to clean out all the negative junk we are nursing inside? You know like unholy anger, bitterness, unforgiveness – all that stuff that makes us emotionally ill. What does Scripture say?

Proverbs 17:22  (AMP)22 A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.  source

Spiritually. Oh, that one is easy to see! Of course, He wants us to live cleaner spiritually – crucify that old putrid flesh and live in the Spirit.

James 4:8  (NLT) 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. source

Galatians 5:16  (AMP) 16 But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]. source

Galatians 5:24  (AMP) 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature together with its passions and appetites.  source

Physically. No, you will not find in the Scriptures what you have heard all your life: that cleanliness is next to godliness. But I am confident and certain from the whole counsel of Scripture that GOD sees the benefit of clean bodies. Look, GOD was so concerned about hygiene that He gave the Hebrews instructions on what do with the product of their morning constitutionals. You don’t believe me?¬† Check out Deuteronomy 23. Click HERE. My point is this if GOD gives instructions on how to cover your poo, do you really think He would have us overlook our BO?

Look, we live in a dirty world. We have dirtied it up with viruses, infections, excrements, expletives, lust, greed, germs, nasties of every sort and kind and mostly our sins.

Who of us could not live CLEANER?  Even our mouths Рwhat we put in and what we let out!

Ephesians 4:29  (AMP) 29 Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak].  source

And this one:

1 Thessalonians 5:22  (KJV) 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. source

That’ll get us clean!

A note: If you click the word source following each verse of Scripture given in any of my posts a new window will open at (Biblegateway) to at least three and possibly four different Translations of the given Text.
