I am inviting you to come aboard my thought train.
I was remembering a youth building and wondering what with did they finally cover the walls.
Boundaries, it seems to me, are necessary for the health of a building and those who enter therein. The walls of our rooms speak about those who decorate them.
What they value.
What they wish to assimilate.
What they wish to say, like, this is pretty to me.
So how do we determine what should cover our walls or occupy space in our minds?
It’s a valid question, I think, and I have a strong suggestion.
Any person we esteem, before we take part in (or put on our walls) the products, clothing, music, etc., or embrace an admiring association with them, we would be wise to determine this: does their personification, their day in and day out, reflect and demonstrate that they are consistently obedient to the Bible? I didn’t say perfectly obedient, I said consistently obedient.
No?
No, there is no visible fruit that they are daily endeavoring to walk circumspectly with the LORD.
Then don’t take their stuff home with you!
Ephesians 5: 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. LINK
I know it’s a hard row to hoe; I’m still practicing myself. However, GOD is always faithful to provide wisdom and strength to do His Will.
Holy Hugs, Kathie
