Unpardonable Sin

Blasphemy.

There’s some talk about blasphemy on certain media outlets. Put the word in a URL window, ask for images, and see how smart the web really is.

What is blasphemy?  Merriam-Webster says:  The act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God or to something sacred. Something said or done that is disrespectful to God or to something sacred. Irrelevance toward something deemed important or inviolable  (considers it blasphemy to put pineapple on pizza) (BTW, I like pineapple on some varieties of pizza)

Let’s leave the silliness there and move on.
The blasphemy spoken of in our Text today is also called The Unpardonable Sin.
Yes, there is an Unpardonable Sin.  Read the Verses again.

May I tell you what I think?
Ascribing the Work of the HOLY SPIRIT to the evil one, satan, is the unpardonable sin.  That is what the Scripture says, right?
So how does one do this? A footnote in my present Bible helped me understand.
In summary, it says knowing full well by revelation from HOLY SPIRIT, that the finished work of JESUS CHRIST is the work of GOD on your behalf, and yet with this full knowledge from HOLY SPIRIT, not only deny the revelation, but speak out that such revelation is not from HOLY SPIRIT, but, rather, satan — like what some of the Pharisees did, you could say.

The unpardonable sin – to sin away GOD’s Grace to you.

It’s not pleasant to end here for today, but… we are.

We get to do this you know, be astonished, I mean every day as we see Him, and hear Him on the Pages of His Word.

As We Go

Since we are here, since we go to work, since we go to stores, since we go out to eat, since we go out among the people – preach!
