Look for a moment with me, please, at Luke 20, in particular, verse 19; but first a little background.
Yeshua has just given a parable to the people for their learning. The Scribes and Priests are also hearing this parable.
19 The Torah-teachers [Scribes] and the head cohanim [priests] would have seized him at that very moment, because they knew that he had aimed this parable at them, but they were afraid of the people. emphasis added. source
Do you see that the Scribes the Priests KNEW the parable was about them?
If you read the parable via the link provided above you will discover they know they are the tenants of the parable.
Look and see what these tenants did. Luke 20.
Will, we ever comprehend the depths of evil in the human heart wherein GOD is not on the throne of that heart?
Again I say these Religious Leaders KNEW they were the tenants. They KNEW they were murders of the heart BUT they refused to repent.
False Religion has done no good thing for us throughout all these millenniums.
James 1:27
Life is in RELATIONSHIP with the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON of GOD.
The Tenants didn’t want to do life with Yeshua (JESUS).
They wanted to live life on their terms, not His.
What about you?
We were made for this,
Kathie
Your honest questions are always welcome here.
Amen, dear sister. Good observation about the resident evil with the lost. Our relationship needs to be intact and growing, indeed! as an aside, you might want to consider calling it “false religion” since as we know there’s a “pure religion” that brother James describes. Keep up the fruitful work.
Marc, you are so right. Thank you for watching out for me. I see what you are saying and I remember the Scripture. Thank you. Love to you and your beautiful wife.
Dearest sister,
Your fruitful kingdom work here and elsewhere like with my wife is so very valuable. I’m reminded of Paul’s exhortation for us all: “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.”
Titus 2:11-15
Let no one ever disregard you, dear one!
Thank you dear brother. All praise be and glory to our LORD and REDEEMER. Thank you.
