Drop-In Thoughts

Early mornings are good times for me, often thoughts surprise me and then settle in to help and correct.  This morning was one of those mornings.

The initiating thought went something like this: As a Christian we, you and I do not have the right to do as we please. It’s a common teaching, I think, that we all have the right to do as we please.  And you know, for the NOT born again, I think that is a fair statement.

But if you (and I) have been born again, at that exchange of sin for Righteousness, we (you and I) no longer have the right to do as we please.  We really don’t.

We (the Redeemed) have been bought back from the evil one, and we forfeited our ‘right’ to sin at that time.

1 Corinthians 6
19
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.

We are now obligated to obey The Father, obligated to refuse to do as we please. However, glory, hallelujah, we have the right, the authority, and the Power to live holy for His glory and our good.

John 1
12 But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—13 children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God.

2 Peter
3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

And then the next logical thought arrested my attention: If this confronts any one of us as unacceptable, then the only logical thing to do is check in with Him and find out if we have in truth been born again.

Conduit

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t like the phrase GOD wants to use you.
I’m sorry, it just about makes me cringe. Not sure why. Probably something from long ago.
But let’s move on to what I do like.

Co-Laborers with GOD.

1 Corinthians 3:9 King James Version  9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

GOD is willing to love people. HE is willing to speak to people. How does HE do that?
His HOLY SPIRIT does this!

And HE in us speaks TRUTH.
HE in us helps the needy.
HE in us gives wise counsel.
HE in us comes alongside the lonely, the scared, and the broken, and cares for them.

It’s not a using me program – no it’s a giving us the privilege, giving you and me the privilege to watch ourselves do what we know we neither have the knowledge nor the love to do, but we see ourselves doing it!
And HE in us can do it all!
And HE if we will humble ourselves and agree to be holy conduits, HE will work with us, in us, and through us!

Perhaps it’s just the turn of a phrase but it’s mine and you are welcome to use it. 😊

Until next time  ~~~ Holy hugs, Kathie

PS and here I sit on April 2, 2025, prayer Journaling asking Father to make sure none of the things He has done for me and in me goes unused by Him for His glory, for His Kingdom. When Father GOD is the One doing the using it’s a holy, wonderful, amazing, thrilling, glorious adventure. Just thought I’d give y’all this update. 😊 Oh to be USED by GOD! Every day please!

Clean

December 31, 2024!

Soon and very soon we begin a new calendar year – 2025.
Do any of you remember Y2K? We were leaving 1999 and moving into 2000. There was panic in many homes and businesses but the Internet,  banking institutions, and the power grid kept on clicking that January morning numbered 1, 2000.  Here’s an article if you care to read it.  Y2K

January 1, 2025.
What do you hope for in 2025?
What would you like to accomplish?
What do you want to see GOD do in 2025?

At the end of many years, I have asked The Father for a word to ponder and explore during the coming year. I have not done that this year. It might still come but that is not my focus this time. This time my focus is just keeping clean.
Clean living, clean eating, clean loving of my family, friends, and any new people He may bring my way in 2025.
Just staying clean before The LORD.
Keeping my slate as clean as possible, keeping as little as possible to have to bring to Him for forgiveness AGAIN.  You know what I mean?

That’s about it.  That’s what is on my mind to put on this screen tonight for you to read tomorrow — LORD willing.

1 Hallelujah! Praise God in His sanctuary. Praise Him in His mighty heavens.
2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him for His excellent greatness.
3 Praise Him with the sound of the horn; praise Him with the harp and lyre.
4 Praise Him with tambourine and dancing; praise Him with strings and flute.
5 Praise Him with clashing cymbals; praise Him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!  Hallelujah! Psalm 150 BSB

Yes! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!

I just have to add one little note. Verse 1 says Praise God in His sanctuary.
With the Resurrection and Ascension of YESHUA and then the coming of HOLY SPIRIT, where is His Sanctuary now?
It’s not the building on the corner. What does Scripture tell us?

Praise God in His sanctuary.
Wherever we are, whatever the season, whatever the year, let us ensure there is Praise to our GOD rising in the sanctuary.

LORD willing, see ya next year!

Nor Do I Need To

Day 29

Thirty days of posting.
I am giving thanks for 30 days of posting — make that 29 days of posting, LORD willing tomorrow will be 30 days of November posting here at The White Stone Blog. That’s a record for me, since last November. I like records, favorable ones.

As I say that a few words from a verse of Scripture come to mind.

No record of wrongs.

It’s found in 1 Corinthians 13.  The LOVE chapter its called, isn’t it?

Love is patient and kind, not jealous, not boastful,
not proud, rude or selfish, not easily angered,
and it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not gloat over other people’s sins
but takes its delight in the truth.
Love always bears up, always trusts,
always hopes, always endures.     source

no recordLove keeps no record of wrongs.

There’s no more I can say — nor do I need to.

Because HE came & IS coming again,
