Sunday . . .

Just a brief hello.

Days have been full. Evenings too.

Temps have been cool and down-right cold some nights and early mornings.
And other days, children could be seen playing wearing short sleeves and shorts.
That’s Lower Alabama in February.

Orders for the Day

Good-Morning-hello-Wednesday-wg01731Just some marching orders for us today from our Father.

2 Timothy 2: 19 Nevertheless, God’s firm foundation stands, stamped with these words:

“The Lord knows his own,”
and,|
“Let everyone who claims he belongs to the Lord

stand apart from wrongdoing.”  source

If you would like to read more of this chapter of 2 Timothy, click HERE.

I just can’t do it. I just have to share a few more verses before I go for today.

11 Here is a statement you can trust: If we have died with him, we will also live with him.
12 If we persevere, we will also rule with him If we disown him, he will also disown us.
13 If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
14 Keep reminding people of this, and charge them solemnly before the Lord not to engage in word-battles. They accomplish nothing useful and are a catastrophe for the hearers!  source

I really hope you will read the whole chapter.

Or

Thinking this morning.
This started out as a Facebook post and grew to here.

Have you realized JESUS The CHRIST is either GOD having come to earth in human flesh to communicate with us, to redeem us from our sins, and truly arose from the DEAD, or HE is the most corrupt, most EVIL, most VILE of all beings EVER?
And have you realized that The Bible is either the WORD of GOD or it is the vilest, most corrupt, insidious piece of writing ever put to paper?

You see my Friends, HE cannot be a good man, a good teacher, a good anything and say HE is GOD, and not be GOD.
The BIBLE cannot be a GOOD book and be filled with lies. It is either TRUTH or it isn’t.
And what if it is TRUTH and you regard it as lies, fables, fairy tales?
What then?
Or have you not read it enough to know what it says?
What if you really are called by GOD one day to give an account for believing or not believing JESUS and The Bible?  Romans 14:12

Where’s YOUR faith?
Does your faith say it is True or does your faith say all this is a lie?
Either position you take is FAITH, you see that don’t you?

You ARE relying on The Bible to either be true or to be a lie.
(Actually, you are staking your eternity on if the Bible is truth or lies.)

I am relying on it to be The Truth.
We both can’t be correct.
You do see that, don’t you?

Scriptural Address

As I sit to bring a word or two to you come Tuesday morning, this has been a day I appreciate.

Lots of reading and some prayer journaling and after lunch working in the backyard with my J.; yes it has been a day to make me smile.
I hope you have smiled today too.

2 Timothy 2 contains marvelous counsel for us.

23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights.
24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.
25 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.
26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants. source

That is so plain, how could we miss it?
Are you like me, in need of practice here?
Let’s practice together.
Let’s be People of The Word together.

Today’s reading – Tuesday; if you are reading along is Isaiah 61.
That is a precious Scriptural Address to me.
More than a couple of decades ago before the dawn of a workday, I sensed HOLY SPIRIT telling me to turn to Isaiah 61.
Next, I heard myself say aloud, LORD, I don’t even know if there is an Isaiah 61

There is. 🙂

Carpet Color?

Have you as I often heard or even said yourself, we can agree to disagree?”

I have come to think that is not Biblical.
I have yet to find an address in Scripture that says we are allowed to agree to disagree.
Example.
Paul and Barnabas had such a disagreement they parted company.
They did not agree to disagree.
Their disagreement had to do with John Mark. (Don’t you just love that name? John Mark. Sounds like his mama could have yelled that out the backdoor so well.)

Paul did not want John Mark to go along on their next missionary journey and Barnabas did.
Check it out
HERE.
Sometime later Paul changed his mind about John Mark. (2 Timothy 4:11)
So perhaps he and Barnabas came to a time they could keep company again even before they got to Heaven.
I hope so.

It is the will of the Father that His children be of one accord. (See Acts 2)

Scripture asks us this question:

Amos 3:3  (NKJV) Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? source

In the Body of Christ, we don’t get to agree to disagree over Sin.
We don’t get to agree to disagree over Scripture.
We get to come together in one accord and pray until we KNOW what GOD has said and we both agree with HIM which puts us in agreement with one another.

Red carpet or Blue carpet?
Really? Are we going to divide the Body over that?!
For these kinds of matters to bring us to hot words and slamming doors means we have far, far, far uglier problems in our hearts than carpet color.download (6)
