What’s that old adage? Haste makes waste. I’ve experienced that more than a few times but steps ordered by The LORD and followed by me. Oh that’s a whole other story!
I’m taking the verse out of context and I know that is not a good practice but today I think it fits.
Paul was in prison at this writing. To me, Paul was extreme but in an exceedingly good way; I’d like to be more like him and for you too to be more like him. He extremely loved people and he extremely desired for people to desire to please The LORD.
We say I will be glad when —- but Paul said I am glad. Even in prison, he said I am glad. What a good and lovely extreme!
17 But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. 18 So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.
Could we easily find something in this day and say I am glad?
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”LINK
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
