A Gas Opinion

The recent gas panic –  a panic attack indeed.

I term it a tool in the Hands of our Adversary fueled by the media to see just how much fear could be piped into us.

On good authority, I learned there was no real gas shortage.
That is not until fear mongers started the train rolling and frightened people jumped on board, headed to their local stations to buy more gas than they needed, and in hours all the gas in the pumps was sold.

The Distribution Tanks still had plenty of gas waiting for trucks to arrive and haul it to the stations.
However, the Powers that Be would have no part in telling us that; it would have spoiled their fun.

Fear of man, fear of things will NOT produce FAITH, PEACE, or CONTENTMENT – EVER!

But I dare not leave you even in an opinion piece without a word of encouragement.

What they mean for evil GOD is using for good; if we will cooperate with Him.

Every opportunity we have to scream, run, hide, and horde is equally an opportunity to experience GOD in His Goodness, His Love, and His inexhaustible ability to provide for His Children.

It’s our choice.

Until Next Time,

STOP!

STOP!

A most important word.
Full of power and comfort.
When used in conjunction with Scripture.

2 Corinthians 10:5  (NKJV) casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,  source

When renegade thoughts invade with intent, stop is a refuge for deliverance.
Just that simple word spoken with the authority of the Blood of JESUS will shut the mouths of lions seeking YOU to devour.
Say it out loud.
Experience casting down those crippling, haunting, malicious thoughts.
Stop.

1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. source

Stop!

Use it today.
You will surely need it.
I did.
That’s how I was prompted to share it with you this morning.
Happy Sunday!

Double Down

If you get to thinking I really messed up this time, read this verse.

Jeremiah 3:22 (NLT)
22 “My wayward children,” says the Lord,
“come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.”
“Yes, we’re coming,” the people reply,

“for you are the Lord our God.  source

And for some double down, we need this:

1 Corinthians 1:26-31  (NLT)
26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.
27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.
28 God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.
29 As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.

31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”  source

We all mess up.
We are imperfect.
He knew that when He called us to be His own.
He knew exactly what He was getting when He asked to be YOUR SAVIOR and MINE.
That in and of itself should cause us to love HIM more and more.

And think about this.
Think about the one who loves you more than anyone else on earth.
What happens when you mess up?

They forgive you and their love for you does not even come close, not even light years close to HIS LOVE FOR YOU.

So draw near to the ONE who loves you most.
Double down with Scripture. Double down with praying.
