Zero out of Six

I shared a picture on Facebook. This one. 317806956_508534574584912_2745246140430129741_n I shared it because such clichés may sound good to the people of this time but they are foolish and dangerous.

1 Listen to your heart.
Absolutely not!

3 Trust your gut.
Are you kidding?!

Proverbs 3:5  “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”  King James Version (KJV)

4 feel good about who you are.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

5 Happiness is what matters
Really?  Let’s see what GOD says.

Leviticus 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” King James Version (KJV)

Psalms 53:3 “Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” King James Version (KJV)

As you can see those clichés are powerless to transform a single soul. BUT GOD!

HE can make YOU new. HE can make YOU clean. HE can make YOU holy and by the way, the way to be HAPPY (as everyone wants) only happens when we are HOLY in position with GOD and learning by practice to live HOLY.  It’s a life-long process.  Yet more than a process, it’s an adventure — like none other!

Double Down

If you get to thinking I really messed up this time, read this verse.

Jeremiah 3:22 (NLT)
22 “My wayward children,” says the Lord,
“come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.”
“Yes, we’re coming,” the people reply,

“for you are the Lord our God.  source

And for some double down, we need this:

1 Corinthians 1:26-31  (NLT)
26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.
27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.
28 God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.
29 As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.

31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”  source

We all mess up.
We are imperfect.
He knew that when He called us to be His own.
He knew exactly what He was getting when He asked to be YOUR SAVIOR and MINE.
That in and of itself should cause us to love HIM more and more.

And think about this.
Think about the one who loves you more than anyone else on earth.
What happens when you mess up?

They forgive you and their love for you does not even come close, not even light years close to HIS LOVE FOR YOU.

So draw near to the ONE who loves you most.
Double down with Scripture. Double down with praying.

Satan Believes GOD

Have you considered that Satan believes GOD? (James 2:19)
Satan heard GOD say to him that The Savior was coming and from that point, he began to incite people to kill people in hopes he would kill the Messiah before the Messiah could crush his head. (Genesis 3:15)
Cain killed Abel. It was a start. (Genesis 4:8)

Pharaoh set out to kill all the Hebrew baby boys. He missed Moses. Not only did he miss killing Moses but Moses grew up in Pharaoh’s palace.
There are other incidents of human slaughter and even child sacrifice – you can read it for yourself in Scripture if you dare. GOD tells it like it is. He does not hold back the truth. You might look up the word Molech at Biblegateway dot com.

Later, Herod sent his henchmen to kill the Hebrew baby boys 2 years of age and under according to the time of the Star. (Mathew 2:16) Satan missed again. THE MESSIAH LIVED (except for a brief 3 days in the Paradise side of Sheol) and CONTINUES TO LIVE TODAY. (Revelation 22:12)

But Satan still has people killing people; particularly Babies. Satan hates people. He especially hates Babies. And people are so much like Satan when people kill Babies, either in or out of the Womb; either calling it Healthcare or sex trafficking, or child abuse.

Satan hates people and we are so like him when we hate and kill each other.

Satan believes GOD yet he has convinced man since the Garden to believe him instead of GOD and we have been killing each other ever since. Obviously, our favorite people to destroy is Babies and children.
Look around.
Read.
And you might see. Unless you have chosen not to see.

And just so we do not finish without hope.
There is forgiveness. A clean slate. All sins blotted out and YOU, forgiven.
There is LIFE BRAND NEW for YOU.
And YOU can have it. If you want it.

12 Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. 13 Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,’ says the Lord . . . source (See Jeremiah 29)

Anything Familiar?

This was in my reading this morning. It was penned by Jeremiah as given to him by Yahweh perhaps circa 627 – 580 BC (before the coming of the Incarnate Christ to planet earth). Judah was . . . well, read and find out where was Judah. See if you see anything familiar.

Jeremiah 4: 19 My soul, my soul! I writhe in anguish and pain! Oh, the walls of my heart! My heart is pounding and throbbing within me; I cannot be silent, For you have heard, O my soul, The sound of the trumpet, The alarm of war.
20 News of one [terrible] disaster comes close after another, For the whole land is devastated; Suddenly my tents are spoiled and destroyed, My [tent] curtains [ruined] in a moment.
21 How long [O Lord] must I see the banner [marking the way for flight] And hear the sound of the trumpet [urging the people to run for safety]?
22 “For My people are stupid and foolish,” [says the Lord to Jeremiah]; “They do not know Me; They are foolish children And have no understanding. They are shrewd [enough] to do evil, But they do not know [how] to do good.”
23 I looked at the earth [in my vision], and behold, it was [as at the time of creation] formless and void;
And to the heavens, and they had no light.
24 I looked at the mountains, and behold, they were trembling, And all the hills moved back and forth.
25 I looked, and behold, there was no man, And all the birds of the air had fled.
26 I looked, and behold, the fertile land was a wilderness, And all its cities were pulled down Before the [presence of the] Lord, before His fierce anger.
27 Therefore says the Lord, “The whole land shall be a desolation, Yet I will not cause total destruction.

28 “For this reason the earth shall mourn And the heavens above shall become dark, Because I have spoken, I have decided, And I will not change my mind (relent), nor will I turn back from it.”
29 Every city runs away at the sound of the horsemen and archers. They go into the thickets and climb among the rocks; Every city is deserted, And no man lives in them.
30 And you, O desolate one, what will you do? Though you clothe yourself in scarlet, Though you adorn yourself with ornaments of gold, Though you enlarge your eyes with paint, You make yourself beautiful in vain. Your lovers (allies) despise you; They seek your life.
31 For I heard a cry like a woman in labor, The anguish as of one giving birth to her first child, The cry of the Daughter of Zion (Jerusalem), who gasps for breath, Who stretches out her hands, saying, “Woe is me [my judgment comes]! I faint [in fear] before the murderers.source
