Interrupted

I’ve been tied up and gagged and have not been able to get to my lap top :) not really but getting here to write has been interrupted.  I’ve been talking to ABBA about interruptions this morning. Life seems to be one long interruption — have to watch that kind of thinking. It leads down a road none of us should travel.

I’ve been praying since yesterday for a little girl that I can only identify to you as Lily. I’m not certain of her age; 3 to 5. She was seriously injured yesterday when a tree limb (3 to 4 inches in diameter) fell striking her, knocking her to the pavement and rendering her unresponsive. She was life-flighted to the hospital and surgery was quickly done to relieve pressure in her head and she was placed in a medically induced coma to allow her to rest. I have been putting myself as best I can in the place of her Mother and Grandmother and crying out to our ABBA to restore Lily; to give her back to her family.  If you will, please join me.

My little interruptions.
How foolish, how sinful of me to fret over them.
Yesterday morning Lily’s family could never have imagined; why would they – that their lives would be interrupted this way.

LORD as others have brought children to You to bless them, we are bringing Lily for Your holy, gracious touch upon her and her family.  And while bringing Lily, I bring others: Carson, Willow Grace, Jackson, Scott, Kerri, Diana, Clara, Faye, many specific unspoken(s), and the modesty of women in the Church – You know I am way burdened about this; and the well-being of us all; that our IDOKs be strong in faith and pliable in heart; worthy vessels in Your Hands in these dark times bringing Your Light to all the places You have placed us in JESUS Name and for the sake of Your Gospel. Amen and amen.

The Vital Five

And if you are not praying about the debt ceiling shenanigans that are going on, please begin immediately. I am appalled at the pride and arrogance flaunting itself in Washington at the expense of We the People.

Even so come quickly LORD JESUS; but until You do, HOLY SPIRIT, move me to be faithful and full of courage because You, LORD, are our KING and Provider and You will never forsake us. Thank You, that You are Sovereign and sinful man can only continue as You give leave and for us that know You and love You, Your Word remains valid, trustworthy and operational.

Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;
24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Malachi 3:10 New American Standard Bible (NASB)  Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.

Based upon these Scriptures, I am urging you (and counseling myself) especially in this maliciously generated economic instability, to faithfully devote ourselves to:
1. pray without ceasing (I Thessalonians 5:17)
2. daily, read and search the Scriptures. (Acts 17:11)
3. attend and serve in a local Bible-Believing Church (Hebrews 10:25)
4. give at least a tithe of all your income and extra offerings (Malachi 3:10)
5. evangelize the world (Mark 16:15)

This is our reasonable service; anything less is willful disobedience.

A Great Verse

Jeremiah 29:11 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
via Jeremiah 29: 11 NASB – For I know the plans that I have for – Bible Gateway.

Last night Dr. Tony Evans explained it this way: it’s a great verse in a bad chapter, in a bad book.(Bad in that sin and rebellion were abounding and the people were suffering the consequences thereof – still God was offering them hope in the bad chapter and the bad book.)

Are you Living a bad chapter right now, he said? This is your great verse.
Are you Living a bad chapter in a bad life? This is your great verse.

Jeremiah 29:11 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
