Thinking in the negative-positive here – we’ve been ‘good’ for a while. That is we have been obedient time after time when we wanted to not be; we wanted to say that or this, but we didn’t.  We wanted to consume this or that but we didn’t. And now we are weary of being ‘good’, we want to be ‘bad’.  We deserve to be ‘bad’ because we have been so ‘good’ for so long.  What we are saying is we want a respite from obedience. And I am thinking we did not come up with that on our own!!

What a horrible trick of the Evil One. But he does pull it on us! Doesn’t he?

What if we took this Text and used it on him? What if when we are feeling this ‘need’ to disobey we confess it to JESUS immediately – no toying with it, no examining it, no agreeing with Satan about it??? What if we ask JESUS to bring us to a desert (or shall we say dessert place – a place of sweetness) place with Him and let us rest not from obedience but from the lies of the enemy and in that resting we will be restored and revived and the want to do bad will be removed?

PRAYING FOR THESE

HOLY ONE, thank You for the power to deliver us from the power of the Evil One. Thank You in You, CHRIST JESUS, that all power to live victorious is ours.  And I pray, ABBA, that each of us will believe You and cease to agree with Your Enemy – our enemy. That we will RUN to You for the respite You have for us, for a dessert place, a place of sweetness and deliverance, a place that will turn us away from slipping and falling into that same old sin again. Thank You for the power to resist. Thank You for the power to live free and victorious. Thank You for Dessert Places, we receive them in You name LORD JESUS.  Amen and amen

A Few Alls

Got some ALL this morning and I liked it – a lot!

First I read Psalm 111:10.  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight.

See that word ALL?  ALL – not a select few but ALL who follow JESUS’ instructions have good insight.  I got some good insight. Not perfect, but good.  No more false humility when it is recognized by others — just flat out glory to JESUS for giving it to me!! Yikes! This will take practice. :)

Next.

Proverbs 3 speaks of wisdom. Something achievable in CHRIST JESUS.  And look with me at just a few verses and what the acquiring of wisdom promises us.

17 Her ways are pleasant ways and all (there’s that word again) her paths are peace.

When I, when you live in wisdom ALL our journeys are marked with peace — even when war wages around us — we have peace.
This is going to take LOTS OF PRACTICE for me! I better be diligent about getting me some wisdom!

18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are ALL who hold her fast.

Oh my goodness! Does this mean when I’m not a ‘happy camper’, I’m not walking in wisdom? What do you think?

Now for just the pure pleasure of it read verses 19 – 26.  I read them to my beloved this morning and he liked them!

Proverbs 3:19The LORD by wisdom founded the earth, By understanding He established the heavens.
20By His knowledge the deeps were broken up And the skies drip with dew.
21My son, let them not vanish from your sight; Keep sound wisdom and discretion,
22So they will be life to your soul And adornment to your neck.
23Then you will walk in your way securely And your foot will not stumble.
24When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
25Do not be afraid of sudden fear Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes;
26For the LORD will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught.

That really does not need any KT paraphrasing, does it? Not sure I can resist though.  The comfort, encouragement, and counsel in these verses FEELS so good!  To walk securely, my foot to not stumble; to lie down without fear, to sleep in sweet peace; and when calamity comes, He is my confidence and will keep me from entrapment. That is just flat out GOOD!

Sweet Wednesday to you all in JESUS Name and walking in His wisdom — it’s a given.

Praying for These

 Thank You, DADDY GOD, for this passage and, HOLY SPIRIT, I pray You will administer it to each One who reads it just as they need it.
And thank You for good reports for Iris, Rosemary, and Perry.  I pray Perry will come home soon and her strength will return and I pray this for Iris too. Thank You that Jenny continues to progress and thank You that she will be restored.  I pray for all the ins and outs of that coming to be, for strength and courage for all the family as the weeks come and go. Please keep safe and protected our IDOK Troops.  Yes, Dawn and her family, and Elaine and Billy and their family and many others — all those listed at our link, thank You for allowing us to pray for them and thank You for the Good work You on doing in them and on their behalf.  Thank You JESUS. And Israel, dare not forget them – my heart’s desire for them is to KNOW You as Messiah. ABBA, we love You. Thank You for making it possible. Amen and amen.

I am running late today; but I’ve had a really good time and I have to scoot soon; going to pick up my GRANDS for a little spell.

So. What shall we share for Wednesday?

Romans 12: (King James Version) 1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  via Ro 12:1-2 – Passage Lookup – King James Version – BibleGateway.com.

Now let me paraphrase it in KT style. Perhaps it will bless you too.

Even though I believe our dear brother Paul penned this letter it is actually the Voice of our Father, hence I am paraphrasing it thus.

I am instructing you, Kathie, (I recommend you read it with YOUR name inserted and not mine) ________________, within My mercies and for your very own good that you make yourself, all of you, – mind, emotions and body – available to Me by an act of your will. This is not unreasonable. I promise you, with Me, you can do it. Moreover it is the ONLY way you are going to be happy here on my earth. Now here is the way it works. Rather than looking at this world’s media to decide how you will think, what you will say, what you will wear, what you will eat, what will entertain you, how you will rear your children, how you will respond and react to your husband, what your moral conduct will be, and for every other question you have, you will come to Me. You will read My Word and I will teach you. And in time your mind will come in line with what you have read, you will believe and I will give you strength. You will come to know with all assurance what is good, what is evil, what is acceptable, what is to be rejected. In summary you will KNOW ME, and what My will is for you, and what My heart is for you and I promise you most of the time you will like it and even when you don’t, you will see the value of it and be content in it until I work out the remaining details for you. It will be the most fun of your earthly life thus far and you will finally be able to get your emotions around the fact that I love you – really, really love you and more than that I actually LIKE you and you bless Me and please Me. Now isn’t that what you really want? I thought so. Me too!

Praying for These

ABBA, You know my heart. You know I am not by any means desiring to put ‘words’ in Your Mouth or change, add to or pervert anything You have spoken. I’m just hoping to convey to my sisters and my brothers that You are AWESOME, that You are RIGHT, that You can be trusted and to say it in such a way that it will hang with them just a little closer than before and will give me some accountability with them and will help them in their own private and public journey here.  I pray HOLY SPIRIT it will be so in JESUS name. Amen and amen.
