Whatcha Need

Needs? The question was asked of me what are my needs?
What is it that I just imperatively have to have?
And so I thought about it.
I came up with one imperative need.
I am not negating other needs, I mean the kind of needs that without I will not be long for this world. Like.

Water. Now I like some water! for drinking, for showering, for cleaning – – – Yep! water is really important to me.
Food. I like food. And there are not many days I have gone without it and even when I did – well, honestly that was by choice.
Clothing. Yeah. That’s pretty much a necessity! :)
Shelter from the elements. We won’t die quickly, normally, without some shelter from wind, rain, snow, cold, and heat but death will come in a while. So I’d say this is high on the need list.

My beloved hubby says LOVE is the one thing we need.
And I said it is pretty important but we won’t die right away without it and he said well, we won’t live well. I smiled because he was right.

So what is it? What is this all-important need?

In my humble opinion: Air/oxygen!
Without it that heart is gonna stop pumping, right?

Interesting, isn’t it that we were created with that one imperative, ultimate, got to have it need?

Air/breath

Genesis 1 (KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

See that word Spirit?  Spirit of God – Holy Spirit of God.

Do you know what that word in Hebrew is and what it means?

Rauch
Breath – air

How smart is GOD!

With these natural lives we have been given we must have breath – air or we die. Air, breath. It is an ultimate need!

And in the supernatural; well, in the spiritual realm without AIR – the Holy Spirit of GOD, we are dead already! And I do mean graveyard dead!

5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),  Ephesians 2

Romans 8:11 Tree of Life Version (TLV) 11 And if the Ruach of the One who raised Yeshua from the dead dwells in you, the One who raised Messiah Yeshua from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Ruach who dwells in you.

Got AIR?

Philippians 4:19 New King James Version (NKJV) 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Soup

Soup.

I’m giving thanks today for soup. Not just any soup. This once in a lifetime exact soup.  A blending of leftovers and some fresh overs thrown into a pot to simmer.  O my goodness!  Am I sad that this just for once pot of soup cannot be duplicated?2016-11-11_13-58-44_482

Not really. I am so thrilled that I get to have it this time! There will be other once in a lifetime soups, LORD willing.

Today is a once in a lifetime day too. So I am taking my own advice – be thrilled about it! :)

So what has thrilled you today?

Timely Finds

Giving thanks today for timely finds.

I would say I don’t know what possessed me but that would not be altogether honest as I believe in Divine Intervention just because He is so awesome and He loves me; and so I cleaned out my img_9618red box today.  The red box sits near my desk chair. It keeps stuff handy.

And in that little red box today I found a small card that I didn’t know I had; and I didn’t know because on a day uncertain I just dropped the day’s mail into the box to open later, much later! Come the end of the year I would have been frantic and clueless. Now it’s tucked safely in my wallet! So today something I needed found me and I said thank You, ABBA,  out loud! :)

And while I was at it, the desk needed some work too so I am now able to say thank You for a img_9616clean desk.  Yes counting gifts is a good practice.

And yes I for sure believe that our GOD the HOLY SPIRIT watches over the mundane, the important, the imperative, the just because stuff in our every day lives and He moves us when we don’t even know it is Him until we timely find whatever is timely needed. :)

He is so good! So what are you giving Him thanks for today?

An Empty Screen Filled

Have you ever just wanted to put something on the page but inspiration is not to be had?   Me too.  An empty screen.

So I shall fill it up with a rerun! Grace and Mercy! From November 22, 2011

GRACE AND MERCY

Day 22 — Grace and Mercy

So grateful for grace and mercy as I am continually in need of both!

Grace.
It has been said Grace is God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.
How true I know that is! Grace is God giving to me what I so do not deserve. Forgiveness and Fellowship with Him.

And Mercy? Well, mercy is me not getting what I do deserve.
Hell forever and ever for sure. But even since Salvation and being rescued for eternal death; to that He adds mercy every day, multiple times a day. Even when I deserve to be taken to the woodshed and have the ‘flesh’ wailed out of me, He still gives mercy. In fact the woodshed IS mercy. How horrible it would be to be left alone. To be allowed to do as my flesh would please with no correction, no wooing by the HOLY SPIRIT to turn and do right again. That can never be. To be left to my own to act any way I please without correction — I know what that would mean. So thankful I don’t have that on my head.  Read this and see what I mean:

Hebrews 12:7-9  21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then ye are bastards and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence. Shall we not far rather be in subjection unto the Father of Spirits, and live? via Hebrews 12:7-9 KJ21 – If ye endure chastening God dealeth – Bible Gateway.

And this:

Romans 8:  21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so it be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.
via Romans 8:8-10 KJ21 – So then those who are in the flesh – Bible Gateway.

Philippians 1: 6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. via Philippians 1:5-7 NASB – in view of your participation in the – Bible Gateway.

Is this your experience too? Then we both can give thanks today for God’s Grace and Mercy.
