Ps. 103: 8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. source

The LORD is compassionate and gracious. 

That is just a fact. The Scripture says it.  The LORD is compassionate and gracious. We either believe it or we don’t. Whether we do or not, it’s still so. 

Slow to anger.  GOD does get angry. It’s a fact. It is also a fact that even in anger He is still compassionate and gracious.

So why do we run from Him, ignore Him, shun Him and flat-out dis-believe Him? Good question.

Ps. 103: 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 Just as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.
14 For He Himself knows our frame;
He is mindful that we are but dust.  source

Quest

Your purpose and my purpose on this earth is to know GOD and to make Him known. 

That’s it. That’s the total of it. And that is only the beginning. 

To know Him and to make Him known. That is why we were born. To know GOD and to make Him known. 

Where do we even begin to know this GOD? 

Praise and Thanksgiving is a grand place to start.  Starting with the things we do not understand and the things we hate. Not praising Him or thanking Him that they happened BUT that He has not forsaken us and He has not messed up. Start there. 

Positive confessions are a MUST! Turn those negative thoughts and fears into out loud praise and positive confessions from GOD’s Word and we will see.
Watch Him turn your night into day in the middle of dark morning hours when all the world is asleep and you are awake in pain and gripped with fear. 

Our very quest to know Him with our praise and thanksgiving and positive confessions of His Word in the midst of evil will make Him known to us AND make Him known to others through us. 

The quest is on! 

John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.  source

Ecclesiastes 12:13 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. source

At this writing I am waiting on my copy of The Quest by Beth Moore. I am thinking this study will only advance what the Holy Spirit of God has already started.

Matter

Perhaps it’s Monday morning as you come to this page. Perhaps it’s a work day. Perhaps not. Perhaps you have plans, an agenda to which you are eager to attend. Perhaps not. Whatever your perhaps, you are not invisible. You matter. And because you matter what you do today matters. What you believe today matters. What you reject today matters. 

You matter. 

Matter. What a word! It’s definition is all over the page, and yet right now you know just what I mean: “You matter!” 

Believe it. Receive it. 

John 3:16(TLV) 16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.  source

How much more do we need to matter before we know we matter?

John 14:1 “Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to Myself, so that where I am you may also be. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”  source

Acts 1:11 They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” source

I Thessalonians 4: 14 For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, so with Him God will also bring those who have fallen asleep in Yeshua. 15 For this we tell you, by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall in no way precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself shall come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the blast of God’s shofar, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left behind, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air—and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.  source

Praying a good prayer for GOD’s Women. For us to be modest in our apparel, modest in our spending and modest in our day to day living; but in our love for our GOD and others to be oh so extravagant.
